i don't believe my mom will allow me to go shopping and wake up at 3AM, so what time CAN i wake up? (since i'm going with a couple of friends.)

That depends upon where you want to go to shop. Make your case with your mother as to why you want to get out that late. Let her know that the very item(s) you want to purchase is(are) limited in stock, and you would save money and time by purchasing at that time. Ask her, "If you were in my shoes, what would you do?"
If she answers to that as staying home then she cannot really put herself in your shoes. Remind her that you would be saving money.

Don't bother waking up early kid! All the crazies are at the mall at 4 a.m. If you wait until 8 a.m. all the crazies will be gone, you will be able to find a good parking spot and there will still be plenty of deals left. Most stores even bring out unadvertised items later on in the morning.
