Ok, so heres an image i just threw together to try and illustrate some rooms in my house.

Atm, all the walls are white and they are driving me mad!

The problem i'm having is that there is a distinct lack of colour and because the walls span into three rooms, each with different coloured furntiure and cupboards, all neutral-ish, i'm having difficulty deciding...

Help :(

Try an orange or a sagey green, not dark though.

I have neutral color schemes with white walls as well. I used orange to accent my living room (which worked really well for Halloween and Thanksgiving!) and in my dining room I accented with black and teal (black frames and teal mattes, black table settings and teal place mats) and in the kitchen, I have nothing but neutral since I have baskets all over the walls for decoration. Good luck

try "hint of green".

I find it a very relaxing colour and you can place paintings of various compositions and colours or other things of intrest that can lift the rooms or set them to your mood

You can change the feel of the room with lighting... candles for example. Once you introduce strong colours your stuck with it.

The colors creme and taupe look nice together and are versatile enough to work well with other colors.

I would go with something like a sage green too, or even a very light grey.
