Yes, he probably has a horrible infestation of fleas.. please get him to a vets ASAP. He needs some medication to rid the flea problem and NOT the stuff you buy in grocery stores or pets stores. Also, you will need to treat any sleeping areas he's been in your house. And yes, he needs toy's and a scratching post right away!!!

T-Bo might have ear mites. There is some medicine you can get at any wal-mart or grocery store that is for that. It is really simple to do just put it in his ears and pinch them while rubbing to spread the medicine around. You can also put some on his outer ear with a cotton pad or gauze. If that doesn't work he might need to go to the vet for stronger or different medicines. He also does need toys and a scratching post. You can get them at Wal-mart also. Cats are supposed to scratch. That is how God made them. Just make sure he knows what is his and what isn't. For your area look in the phone books either at home or from the library to see what and who is in the area. Good luck. (If you can't afford to buy a scratch post just find some wood and old carpet to nail to it, but make sure that the carpet isn't really dirty or germy. You might check the flooring stores sometimes they have remnants they give or sell cheap.)

It's probobly fleas. Get your cat a flea medication from the pet store and follow the directions. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CAT DOG FLEA MED!!! it can kill your cat it says ONLY for dogs for a reason so don't slack off on that. Put her outside and don't touch her for 24 hours after you have appliced the medication. You don't want the fleas jumping off your cat onto you or into your home after you apply the medicine.
By the way I am not much older than you!!

Ask your parents to get some advice from a vet. If the cat is not being treated for fleas, he probably has them.
Please discourage your parents from using pet shop treatments for fleas. Pet shops are suitable for buying pet foods and accessories, but not treatments of any kind - they are not licensed to sell medication, including proper flea treatment, so don't expect any of their 'flea treatments' to work. Pet store employees are also salespeople, not medical professionals, so please don't take their advice over the advice of a vet.

Discourage them from it....
Spraying with citrus oils on the surfaces.
Covering surfaces with tinfoil or double-sided tape
A tin with a few coins to rattle when they do scratch startles them away from it.
A water-spray also works well.
A loud clap when they do scratch.
Softpaws is like nailcaps. Comes in funky colors too.
Clipping the nails short yourself weekly or every second week.
And encourage them to use what you want by every single time like clockwork, picking them up and placing them by the scratching post, doing a mock scratch or two of your own, or playing oiver it with a bit of string so they can feel how good it feels.
Rub catnip over it or Valerian or Honeysuckle to entice them, and when they use it, praise them. The more scratching posts the better.
When they get it, praise them LOTS, so they'll want that again.

is he scratching himself or things around the house or both?? if he is scratching himself it is highly possible he has fleas i would get him flea medication or a flea comb and make sure the fleas are dead and not jumping around your house..but if he is scratching other things i would get him a scratching post..you can find one at walmart or a petstore i am sure they arent too expensive or his claws may be in pain..your best bet would be to ask your parents to bring him to a nearby vet to see exactly what the problem is.

Get him checked at a vet for fleas. If he scratches his ear so much that it bleeds. it is most likely fleas. As for scratching everything else - get him a catnip-covered sratching post; he'll love it!
