I understand the question, but I don't think that is an accurate supposition. A guy doesn't measure his women against options. No one I know anyway.
Being faithful to your partner has nothing to do with having options. They aren't related. If a man or woman decides to be faithful to another, others will cease to have that "option" look about them. Either people decide to be faithful or they don't. Having options is just a game people play who don't have the capacity to be faithful.
If you worry your guy is only as faithful as his options, get out of that relationship now. You know it isn't going anywhere.

It's not just a guys, it's girls as well.
People are only as faithful as their options, atleast in this day and age. Sadly, monogamy and loyalty are a thing of the past.

in general yes.
kind of like power corrupts. usually more power=more corrupt.
but if you find the right person there will be no "alternate options" to consider, because the person is "the one".
