We are going to a formal New Year's Eve gala this year - so much fun!! I can't wait, except that I am running into a problem with my dress. Most formal cocktail or ball gowns are going to be strapless, and I have a fairly large tattoo on one upper arm, and a smaller one on the other. They aren't tacky, I just don't think it would be appropriate to have them show. I tried Dermablend once, but the effect was less than satisfactory. Any suggestions?

Hiya, have a scout around for a beauty salon that does airbrush make up, its the most effective way to cover tatts without looking like you dropped a blob of foundation on your arm and forgot about it!
Now I must have my rant, dont cover your ink for others!! Theyre yours and they are there becauce you love them, if anyone is shallow enough to be offended then they can get stuffed!!!

I might now not screen a tattoo at a proper army ball. Marines, and different carrier individuals for that subject, could also be "recognized for having tattoos," however in in formal get dressed circumstances, they're included up for decorum. Consider what the opposite men and women attending the ball could suppose of a tender girl in a revealing get dressed with a tattoo. These are circumstances for propriety and respectful conduct. A "reliable" get dressed is your bigger choice. Wear the crimson one to a proper social gathering in which awesome officials would possibly not be in attendance. Your marine will admire it later.

i wouldn't cover them, i love the way a tattooed woman looks in a dressy dress, my girlfriends and i dress up every once in a while in nice cocktail dresses and wouldn't ever try to cover our tattoos!! embrace the beauty of them!!!
if not, try a wrap that you can use to cover them since it's winter it'll likely be chilly and you may need one anyway.
