No other religion gets in people's faces as much as Christianity, at least not in this country. We react to that.

I think a lot more people on here other than Atheists are boxing religions here. I have Christians box Atheists with Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Agnostics, and Pagens. I think it is something that we all are guilty of and i have been trying to work on aspects of that myself, and so far I would say I've been successful because I've been careful to remember that we all are different and individuals.

Hey.
I'm jewish but i absolutely dont like religion. I've got nothing against 1 particular religion. Just all of them.
The reason why people go on about christianity so much is because christians LIKE the arguments and try to do anything that they can to prove there is a god.
The bible is also renouned for being against gays and unaccepting of others.
So whilst i am myself jewish and crack the often "Jews are hell stingey" joke, i hate religion in general and christianity just encompasses everything an atheist can attack religion by.
Sorry

The atheists I have met in the past are extremely anti Christian. You are quite correct when they never mention other religions. That is because atheists hate Christians with an absolute burning passion. Why? Because their hearts are not right with God, and they know it deep down. It is much easier for them to hate us and deny there is a God, than to be right with HIM. That is called conviction, and it comes from the Holy Spirit. All you and I can do is pray for them. I hope I was of help. God bless.

Often, but that's because Christians strike first.
Worse, many anti-theistic atheists confuse theism with a belief in a god like that of the god of Abraham, despite that being a popular but still unusual concept...
that is to say that in all the forms of theism most of the concepts in Abrahamic monotheism are NOT found, even if Abrahamic Monotheism has many followers.

No, but I live in a mostly Christian country. I probably like Islam even less that Christianity.
Both Islam and Christianity would like to spread their religion, often though any means available.
Jew's are not trying to spread Judaism through conversion. It is actually very hard to convert to Judaism.

I do not agree. As an atheist, I find faults in all religions and assign those flaws accordingly. However, Christians tend to be more argumentative, which is probably why you see atheists and Christians at odds more so than you see with other theists with the atheists.

If the Jews wanted to outlaw pork I would flip but they seem to be happy just living life and not trying to force there beliefs system on me.

There are quite a few atheists who attack Islam and Scientology, and occasionally Hinduism. Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism aren't attacked because they are atheistic religions. Judaism isn't attacked because it doesn't try to convert others, but Israel comes under a lot of fire here.
Christianity is attacked most because most of us are from Western countries where Christianity is predominant, and because there are far more fundie Christians here than fundie Muslims.

Muslims aren't the majority, and rarely try to convert others for some reason. And the Jews have been through enough.

I have *never* had a Muslim knock on my door with the intent of brainwashing me. Muslims are not a powerful force, via lobbying, in my government. Christianity and Christians are an entirely different story, though.
