Obviously these evangelicals are not Christians, no matter what they call themselves.
Never mind judging other people, as bad as that is, to tell a person not to pray the words Jesus gave us is insane -- and very unChristian.

Well, you gotta understand Christians aren't perfect. Everyone makes mistakes and they made a huge one. But, what I'm thinking, since it was a gay pride event, those Christians were praying for the gay pride to disperse. When the gay Christians at the gay pride event came over to pray, the evangelists probably thought it was hypocritical.

They told them not to pray because they were frustrated that their tactic wasn't working. They were expecting to cause a ruckus at the parade, and when that didn't work (because homosexuals are pretty awesome folks), they got mad and threw a tempertantrum like the children they are.
There's no real reason to deny anyone the right to pray.

All the "gay people can't be Christian" responses should give you a hint as to why: there are a lot of bigots who know nothing about God's love who call themselves Christian.

They went there to show themselves as "real" Christians. When real Christians who happened to be gay tried to join them, they felt threatened because -- even without knowing or having any idea who the people were -- these Christians were EEWWWW (coff-coff) GAY(!)
How evil is that? One more of the thousands of reasons I'm no longer Christian.

Lord forgive them for they knew not what they (meaning the Christians) were doing. Love covers a multitude of sins.

Obviously, these "fundies" were acting like selfish brats and therefore proving that they weren't real christians.

I don't know. I feel it's ok for them to pray, love and accept all. That was part of Jesus' teachings.

That is so sad! I have no answer. I hate to hear about people doing that in the name of Jesus.

There is no sound reason why anyone should tell you not to pray.
If you read the word of God and call yourself a gay Christian,
then you know deep down inside there is no such thing.
