YES! my dogs do.....if there mammels they do because the umbilical cord has to go somewhere! Look on your dogs belly and you'll see what looks like a circualr scar. (if its a boy it'll be just a few inches above thier private parts~)

Yes, they do have belly buttons, because they have umbilical cords while in the womb. I can see both of my dogs' belly buttons...they look similar to human's except they are not as deep and they are a bit elongated rather than circular.

Yes, they do when they were born. Then disappear after few weeks.

Just like human, when they were born. It is cut by owner, vet, or the mom. If by vet or us, we tie the belly button with a tiny string. Dog's healing ability is much better than human. The belly button will disappear after it heal.

Yes, dogs have belly buttons. If you separate the fur and look on the skin you can see it.

All mammals have a belly button like dogs but they don't look like ours.

I've seen 'em. They have 'em.

If the dog really likes his belly rubbed, you will find it. If it has lots of hair, probably not.

I've never seen one either, but I'm definitely going to ask my vet the next time I see him.

You know what, I just thought about this the other day....My pit bull was just spayed and her belly is bare. I was thinking how weird it was that they aren't as obvious as ours.

I am glad other people are just as curious. :)

Yes they do. When they are puppies you can feel their belly and find it. It's just a little bump :]
