Yes, Christians believe in martyrdom. Just not in the sense that Muslims do. We do not believe that one should force everyone to believe as we do or die. Sometimes there are Christians that go into places that want to kill them just because he is sharing his beliefs. If the Christian is killed by that government or someone kills him, then we consider that martyrdom; and that Christian a martyr. A good example would be Jim Elliot, Pete Fleming, Ed McCully, Nate Saint, and Roger Youderian; and their ministry to the Auca (or Wuaorani) Indians of Ecuador - See source for more information.

The word "martyr" comes from a Greek word "martyr" found in the New Testament of the Bible. So the origin of the word is from the Christian religion.
The word actually means "witness", not one who dies for a faith. In the Christian religion, anyone who spreads the Christians faith is a "martyr". However, many of the early Christians (when being of that faith was against the law) did lose their lives because they were teaching and witnessing about Jesus. So the word came to mean one who gives his life for his religion. But that was not the original meaning.
If by "martyrdom", you mean blowing yourself up to kill people in the name of your religion, then no. But if by martyrdom you mean doing the right things and following the teachings of Christ even if people might execute you for it, then yes.

Yes, I mean our God is a martyr- he died by crucifixion to make our way to paradise possible. The Christian way though is not to blow oneself up along with others. It is to not resist an evil person when they spit in your face, mock you, hit you, whip you, crucify you, burn you, send you to the lions, chop your head off, or whatever.
The fact the early church believed in Christ is why they were happy to be martyred for him by the Romans, and because Christianity is a believable thing as God works in your heart even those who didn't witness Christ's life death and resurrection continue to be happy to die for that faith.
Why? Because we're not scared of death. Our saviour defeated it when he rose from the dead. And that's whats going to happen to us, we'll be joining him in heaven.

there's a huge war happening in those Muslim international places. tens of millions of harmless Muslim civillians have died from U.S. and Israeli airstrikes, so that's easily uncomparable. those Muslims are no longer terrorist yet patriots scuffling with for their lands n oils against invaders.

A true Marter does not choose to be a marter... one of The Faith will do what The Word and Will of God is for him, or her, and if that means that one will die... then that is The Way it will be. Those of The True Christian Faith place God's Word and Will before their own... that is a decision one makes when one comes to God... in that sense, all of The Faith are prepaired to be Marters... but it is not something we do to get into Heaven... our place in Heaven is assured regardless of how we leave this mortal world.
