Singing Lessons?

does anyone know where you can get FREE singing lessons?

If you are near a college or university that has a music pedagogy program volunteer to be a students student. (Pedagogy means TEACHING.) I have been able to get voice lessons from Pedagogy students for two semesters at University of Colorado. Contact the school to find the department head, then email them and let them know that if they have students that need a student for the class, you would be interested.

Also - Look into getting with a chorus with a good director, either church choir or good community chorus. Two or three hours a week in rehearsing leads to a very good way to learn. It will also give you opportunities to stretch yourself vocally if you audition for solos, duets or other extra singing with the chorus.

I sing in a competitive men's chorus and look forward to our weekly rehearsals. Several times a year, we have coaches come in and do a lot of high level work that is the next best thing to private voice lessons, sometimes even better.

I would recommend you look to see if there might be a Sweet Adeline's chapter near you, and check them out. For the guys, I strongly recommend you checkout the International Barbershop Society.

I can hear the scoffing now, BARBERSHOP???? but check out the guys in Westminster California, reigning International Champions who were on "America's Got Talent" last year, before you laugh too hard.

Nowhere there is no such thin as FREE singing lessons that help your voice, but I have found one that is twenty bucks a lesson, that is what I am taking.
