No. I am not afraid to die. I know what to expect. I will be in place where I will meet my beloved ones, I will have the chance to learn about my past life and be prepared to be born again. I don't want to die soon, though. I have children and I want to see them grow, first.
Peace!

No, I am not afraid to die. I have faced death many times before, and I did not flinch. I was in a hospital 5 days recently, and there is some chance that I could've died then. My atheism is comforting in such times, for I know I need not worry about being stuck forever in one of two highly undesirable places invented by morons. When I was a boy, I read Mark Twain's "Tom Sawyer", and he said he did not want to go to a boring Heaven. I agreed with him and told that to Dad when I was age 11. Isaac Asimov said going to the Christian Heaven would be awful.

Not so much afraid... I'm afraid of pain, and I'm afraid of suffering or of panic. I would hate to die in a drawn out way – drowning, slow suffocation, that kind of thing.
I’m not looking forward to death. I’m not sure what comes next, but I imagine that if God had my sense of humor, purgatory would be that your brain remains aware after death, but all you can think of is bad old songs that you can’t quite remember the lyrics to. You sing Barry Manilow songs in your head, trying in vain to remember what comes after the first chorus. That’s why I’m being cremated.
Death is unavoidable, but it’s nothing to fear. Religion and faith teach us this, but logic dictates it. If you can’t stop it, if you can’t avoid it, if you can’t prepare for it, then to fear it is not a rational response. Apprehension and avoidance are natural, but different.
Hope that answers your question!

i think everyone is apprehensive of death though we all know it is inevitable.
someone asked me in school that if i saw a wall on the path i was walking on, what would i do? my answer, at that time was try to go around it, if not possible then, try to climb it and maybe sit on top and see both sides of the area , but not to give up.
the person who asked me this question started to laugh and said that the wall indicates death and i have given the most unique answer. normally people say they will turn back.
we are a bit scared of death thinking it may be painful or we may cause others pain. or what will happen afterwards.
though i am apprehensive of it and know it is inevitable, i would welcome it after my duties and the lessons i have to learn in this world are over. it will be a resting period for my soul till i am assigned more tasks..

I don't think I'm afraid to die. I would try to stay alive under most circumstances. Dying is just another door in the house of life.
I am an Agnostic - though I believe there is God. Also, I believe there is probably reincarnation. None of this can be proven.

If we as Christians have hope in this world only or in man, then we are all men and women, most miserable. Death nor fear has power over the people of God!

I don't want to die, but it seems inevitable that I will, and while dying looks like a difficult experience, at least I have the solace of only having to go through it the one time.

I do not wish to die I have 3 small kids, but when I do I know I will be going to the most awesome of places. It does help me when I know that my loved on who passed was a Christian and they are in heaven, because I know one day I will see them again.

Yes, I think people who say they are not afraid are kidding themselves. That or infidels...
But only because I like to celebrate life, not death. To concentrate on death breads negativity and therefore a waste of LIFE

I am afraid in that I can't say for certain that things will be all that great for me on the other side. Therefore, I keep working on improving my hopes for what comes after death.
