if you have replaced the pump, it should be good, and there should not be any sludge in the pan because you had it off. what you need to do is drop the pan agian, and start pulling rod caps off. you will find that the bearings are worn down to copper. this is where your oil pressure is going. when the oil is cold it holds a better film strength and escapes out of the rod bearing slower, when it thins out you lose your pressure because of the out of spec gap between the worn bearing and the crank. most of the time on these engines you can get by just putting standard rod bearings back in. i have done this many times. if the crank looks ok this will buy you many more miles. if the crank is scored it will not last though. you will have to get it turned or polished.

you more than likely have a bad oil pump causing this to happen when the relief valve goes bad or doesn't work right it lets all the oil pressure go by it,and that gives you no oil pressure one the engine is warm, you may need to also check the oil pan on this one and make sure it doesn't have a lot of sludge built up in it,those were bad to do that, and that would stop the oil sump up on them, and that too will cause you to loose oil pressure once it warms up,good luck on it.and happy thanksgiving.

you will have some blockage interior the oil pump or have oil pump failure on it,i rebuilt a 360 a on a similar time as lower back and cranked it up and on no account did get oil tension, took it lower back out and found the oil pump wasn't working,i've got been given fortunate it did no longer cost me an engine, yet examine the pump and likewise determine it did no longer spin a bearing on it,which will supply up the oil tension from build up,id pull it lower back out if i could no longer get no tension,it must be in a bearing or a pump or blockage someplace, reliable success.

how many miles on the engine? if it has alot, the oil pressure drop might be because of bad crankshaft bearings.
