I would not be offeneded, I would be blessed! And, furthermore, I don't care what god you ask to bless me, or what language your blessings are in. Your good will and kind thoughts are what help to carry me through life. I hope that people will/do feel the same about me sometimes!
May All That Is Bless You!

Depends on if your a pagan or not, there again I would come back and haunt some bugger if they gave me anything bu the burial I have asked for...but I suppose you can generally ask for people to be blessed without causing offence, only if my real name was used would I be swinging for the ropes as that is a violation and one I would react to causing that person every negative strain I could summon...so you do have to be careful what you wished for as it might backfire..but in general, well bless you yourself....

I am an atheist but I am never offended by blessings. Why take offense. Its like wishing me well, there is no harm in it. I may not say a prayer, but i would bow my head and stay silent, I may not say 'amen', but i would let others do there bidding. I am not going to say "how dare you pray in front of me".....they are only words to me...and harmless at that. And while i may not take them in with the same meaning, I would not deny others their comforts.

I wouldn't be offended if you asked for great blessings for everyone.

However, I personally believe that the laws of the universe (not God) are what gives us those blessings.

LOL I can't imagine anyone being offended at the idea that someone wants blessings from God for them!!

I live deep in the Bible Belt; in the course of my day, I'm regularly "blessed" by the people with whom I interact - clerks, cashiers, etc.

I always accept it with indulgence and grace, and truth be told, I could use a blessed day now and then.

Brightest Blessing to you

Yes, I would be offended. You are treating me with contempt. The choice whether or not to ask a blessing upon myself is my business alone. You do it for me and you become my enemy.

Blessing to you and yours! You would have had them from me even if you hadn't asked. I sure hope your wife is able to enjoy the bounty, first trimester and morning sickness and all.
