Pumpkin Pie Dip
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin pie filling
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2-1 teaspoon ground ginger
apple slices
gingersnaps
-Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Add pie filling, cinnamon, and ginger. Beat again until creamy. Cover and chill about 8 hours. Serve with apple slices and gingersnaps.
****You know what else would be cute? Buy refrigerated pie dough and cut out shapes with seasonal cookie cutters, brush each shape with a thin layer of melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake about 8-10 minutes in a moderately heated oven, but watch carefully to avoid over browning! Serve these with the dip and you have less hassle pumpkin pie!
Oreo BonBons
1 package Oreos
8 oz cream cheese
1-2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 lb white chocolate almond bark
1/2 lb milk or dark chocolate almond bark
-Using a food processor or blender, crush the oreos until they are very fine crumbs. In a small bowl mix the softened cream cheese well with the vanilla. Add the softened cream cheese to the oreo crumbs in a larger bowl and combine using either a handheld mixer or clean hands. Tightly cover bowl and chill for about 1 hour. When thoroughly chilled, roll the mixture into 1-1 1/2 inch rounds and place on wax paper on a cookie sheet. When all the balls have been formed, chill one more hour. Right before removing balls from fridge, melt the chocolates in separate saucepans. Stick a toothpick into each ball and dip into the chocolate of your choice to coat lightly. Return the chocolate covered bonbon to wax paper. Decorate how you would like to! Drizzle some of the other chocolate on top, make them 1/2 dark and 1/2 white, add sprinkles, more crushed candy, etc. Allow the outside layer to harden for about 15 to 20 minutes. Return to fridge if you choose to.
Have a good Thanksgiving!

Delicious and cheap don't go hand in hand. Your parameters are unrealistic. Cakes aren't easy either. Baking is a science. You really need to know what you're doing. Quick is subjective. Do you consider 40 minutes or more to bake a cake "quick"? Having said that, most of the ingredients you need to bake a cake are relatively inexpensive. Buying ready made cakes can be expensive. Many cakes can be put together in a relatively short time frame, but baking can take upwards of an hour. Then there's the cooling time and frosting [if desired]. White Picnic Cake w. Fresh Raspberries Ingredients 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup unsalted butter 2 whole eggs 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups flour 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons whole milk 1 cup of your favorite frosting, optional 8 ounces fresh raspberries, picked over, rinsed and dried Method Preheat oven to 350° Grease and flour a 9 x 9 inch pan or line a muffin pan with paper liners. In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and butter. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Finally stir in the milk until batter is smooth. Pour or spoon batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes. For cupcakes, bake 20 to 25 minutes. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch. Frost as desired. Arrange raspberries over top of cake Cake Tip: For a cake bottom that is as moist at the frosting-covered top, turn the cake out of the pan once it has cooled. Put the cake back in the pan upside-down. Now the moist cake top will be on the bottom, and the bottom of the cake, which can be dry, will be on top and covered with delicious moist frosting.

I love Foodie's recipe for that orange cake ... so good!
This is easy, delicious, and very Christmas-y.... also makes a nice little gift wrapped in colored Saran wrap.
WhiteCandy Bark
1 T butter, melted
2 pkg ( 10 or 12 oz each) vanilla or white chips
1 & 1/2 C. walnuts, chopped
1 C. dried cranberries or cherries
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Line a pan with foil. Brush with the butter. Place chips in a microwave bowl. Microwave on 70 % power for 3-4 min. , stir until smooth. Stir in walnuts, berries, and nutmeg. Spread on the prepared pan. Chill until firm. Then break into pieces of "bark". Makes 2 lbs of candy.

My low-rent special: Glorified Pound Cake.
Slice pound cake, toast the slices in a toaster oven until they've browned a little, but be careful because the sugar makes pound cake burn easily.
put a scoop of vanilla or chocolate chip ice cream on the cake, spoon some cherry pie filling around it (the thick sweet kind) then drizzle chocolate syrup over the whole thing and top with whipped cream.
Toasting the pound cake adds flavor and helps to keep th ice cream from making it mushy.

Pink stuff
12 oz cool whip, can of crushed pineapple , can of sweetened condensed milk and a can of cherry pie filling
Mix all together in a large bowl and let set overnight in refrigerator . I guess you can use other pie fillings and it would be good too.
