I Am Love, In Love

2007-11-21 08:51:41 · answer #1 · answered by Astro 5 · 2 0

I can honestly say that I do. I tend to love easily - sometimes too easily. Love is one of the greatest gifts I can give. I am able to love MORE freely now that religion is not an issue. Nationality, creed, and color of skin haven't yet been an issue for me, but I don't imagine they would cause a problem. Age definitely isn't an issue for me. I'm 32, and the most recent men in my lives have been 48 and 50. love is Awesome, and if I let the little things get in the way, I'd be missing out!

Do you mind?
I'm still working on working on loving at all.
(Love as opposed to care, concern, committment, affection, sympathy, support, loyalty...)

It's a term I avoid since so many people use it to mean so many different and ill-defined things.

And on the other aspect of your question, I recognise an inherent bias in myself towards people of my class, colour and language.
We tend to be programmed that way: it's a "tribal" thing, to be suspicious of anyone who is different, an outsider, even if it's something as minor as an accent or a style of dress, and to be more comfortable with people of "our sort."

My intellectual side doesn't approve of that, and I work at it.
But I don't find in myself a well of "love" which wipes out all distinctions.

Yes brother, I have heard it whispered on full Moon nights there by the willow tree in the tall grass that Love is all there is.

Christ asked us to love our enemies and to do good to those who hate us. What credit is there if we love those who love us? Be merciful as God is merciful. Does not God let the sun to shine on those who are good and evil?
