I'm referring to the claim that Jesus rose into the sky and became a god.
Of Jesus' four official biographers (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), only two even bother to mention it -- in one sentence each.
Perhaps the best lie is the one with fewest details -- and fewest versions.
What? Yes, there's a little more in the Book of Acts, one short paragraph. By the way, when did they come up with this story, anybody know?

You said he rose into the sky and became a god. The Bible didn't. The Bible said He arose as the Son of God and ascended to heaven. Jesus is spoken of many times in the Bible and, by many people. And He has many witnesses. The New Testament is a completion of His foreshadowing in the Old Testament. The Old Testament - shadow of things to come. The New Testament - substance which is Christ.
And, when something isn't mentioned repeatedly it's usually because there is little need to reiterate what has already been well established. 1 + 1 = 2. See how that works?

The number two frequently appears in a legal setting. Agreement in the accounts of two witnesses adds to the force of the testimony. Two witnesses, or even three, were required to establish a matter before the judges.

I have to agree. I think jesus did exist, but I doubt he made magic tricks and so on - I guess the world was simply so less advanced back then and people understood way less, so they asumed natural things to be miracles

It could also be symbolic. Many people today refer to their loved ones as ascending into the heavens.
Jesus could've been cremated, and they were referring to the smoke rising into the heavens. Wasn't that the custom back then anyway?

They came up with it when they felt that their own lives were pointless and needed something to make them feel important.
That's just speculation, though. But it's definitely fictional.

The less they say, the less there is to argue with. It was probably a mistranslation, too.
