All the previous answerers gave you good info but neglected to specify WHICH train station in each city. (There are various). From Amsterdam CENTRAAL to Antwerpen CENTRAAL there is one train every hour. Duration 2.15 h. From Antwerpen CENTRAAL to Gent SINT PIETERS there are trains about every 30 minutes. Duration 45 minutes.

There is an hourly train from Amsterdam to Antwerp, there you change for Gent.

From Antwerp there are more trains.
Trains are comfy, but the trip can seem long, Amsterdam to Gent takes a little over 3 hours, Antwerp to Gent about 45 minutes.

There are two direct trains from Antwerp Central station to Ghent per hour leaving at :06 and :40 minutes after the hour. The travel time is 49 or 55 minutes depending on which train you take.
