The bible gives all but the day and hour and there are so many ways to collect proof of this truth.
1Thes.5:1-9,21; To children of the light of times and seasons, Jesus does not come as a thief in the night even if they are dead, or even if they are alive at his second coming. PROVE JESUS AND GOD TO BE GIVING THE TRUTH ANY WAY POSSIBLE.

Before you can recognize the Truth you have to study the Bible and carefully weigh out the different doctrines out there, with the bible. Religions have a way of ignoring things that they don't want to accept.
You must be willing to look for verification of each subject having to do with what they are teaching.
Be willing to walk away if it isn't the Truth,Or give up the practice if it is not what GOD would condone.
Also if it is TRUTH the Bible says it would be borne by two or three witnesses so look for confirmation by more than one person saying so in the different books of the bible.
Ask yourself "What does GOD require of Me" am I meeting those guidelines? Study to show yourself approved.
Here are a few things I have discovered as the Truth.
Don't take for granted that because the church teaches it it is TRUTH.
Not all holidays please GOD.
There is only One GOD ALMIGHTY.
Jesus is the Key to the Knowledge of GOD.
When you die you are really dead not floating around somewhere.
God has a purpose and you have a space in that purpose.
And I am still searching and learning.

The truth spiritually has a sort of power and efficiency to it. It tends to be on the slippery slope between extremes. It is like a measurement, you can only get so exact, you can always do better. Truth applied to life can be very complicated, that is why you can not be quick to judge, even though we all are forced to, to some degree. Proof of spiritual truth is more based on it feeling right or comfortable to a degree. Small things that go wrong in your life, as a consequences of ones actions, can tell us we need to see if some of our spiritual beliefs, may be setting us off kilter a little bit. One needs to keep reacting to any doubts we have, with better spiritual ideas or inspirations. Intuition is what make us have a sense, for the way things are spiritually. Also one can sense when one has beliefs, that are unfair or harmful to others, if one does not close down oneself emotionally, to those different from oneself. Meditation/prayer, mind-body exercise, healthy diet, and not overindulging, will give one sharper and stronger intuition.

Turth is a tricky subject because you can never fully know the truth. So many believe in God (and I know you didn't mention God in your question, this is just an example) yet have never seen him. They live by faith, yet we have been raised to only believe what we can see and feel. With this notion I don't see how anyone could say that God is the truth when all we have are writings about him. Just writings. I have a book about a man who encounters an eight headed monster and lives, so am I to believe this? What if a lot of people believed this and they had buildings devoted to this and people who spoke about it every week? Does this make it true? No. It makes everyone idiotic for believing it, but those who do believe it find happiness in believing it. So, all in all we should find our own truths that make us happy, not what Pastor Greenfield is yelling about, but what fullfills us.

so then we can surmize like Lary noticed about the Light in which there is no darkness that thats a Military invention not God. read into Military(Mi li+ Lary, meaning they own the light(li+) in which there is no darkness and thus as a machine it can live forever. Whereas like Jehovah, God the I AM's body is also flesh and can die, but perhaps the OT forever immortalizes LORD GOD who was described as the I AM, alonf with His only body ever for all time. So if you see that light be aware its some military, not God and you don;t have to obey it. if your laws allow civil disobedience.

Truth means an event which can be shown to be true: it will be acknowledged as true by any reasonable unbiased observer. It is true that phenolphthalein changes color based on the acidity of the solution containing it; anyone can try this and see that it is so. It is true that the speed of sound in a gas depends on its temperature but not its pressure; again, anyone can perform the experiment and see that it is so.

Proof is a different concept; it means that, starting from certain premises (generally agreed to be valid), the thing proved must be true to avoid a logical contradiction. Proof is seldom achievable in scientific work, as such is based on observation; an interesting exception is the theory of evolution, which is provable and I have done so. truth is reality. and reality is a fact.

opposite of truth is halucination , which has no proof.

faith can be based on proofs and it can also be based on halucination. Blind faith is believing without any evidence.

before searching for proof of the truth,, first establish what are your basis on which you consider something as a proof .... otherwise, you will be looking for proofs of the proofs... and this cycle will never end.

if you want to collect the proof of the truth,, first establish which truth are you talking about... there are millions of truth in this world. bible says , seek the truth and truth shall set you free.

"Say, 'The truth is from your Lord': Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it):......(The Noble Quran, 18:29)"

Many people in the R & S section seem to be terribly confused by the distinction between "truth" and "fact."

Facts are or can be PROVEN (or refuted).

TRUTHS are beliefs, and can generally neither be proven nor disproven.

Think about this for a few minutes, everyone (particularly you extremist types out there on both sides of the God thing).
