Me and my boyfriend have been dating for almost 5 years. He recently was put In jail for 90 days and just got released. During our 5 years of dating he hasn't held down a job for 6 months. When he was incarerated I went to college and work paid all the bills and took care of my children. Since he's been released he acts as If he doesn't want to go out and look for a job, but just want to have sex. Well I have too many things I want to accomplish In my life and having sex isn't one of them. I want to become a nurse. I just don't know what to do or say to get him to see the light. I just want to be out of this relationship with him, he's seems so lazy! He seems to have no goals, ambition at all. What can I do? Serious answers please. Thanks.

Listen to your gut.... You are making something of your life >he isnt> Set yourself free from this guy..he will only take take take!!
I know its hard because you probably feel responsible for helping him ..taking care of him... BUT YOU ARENT HIS MOMMY.....This guy has got to go....Live your life..you only get one time around..you should be happy and free...

Looks like youve got 2 options 1.) dump the lazy bastard and move on to bigger and better things. If he keeps being lazy and not getting a job then he will just eventually drag you down and it will take you longer to reach your goals. 2.) You stay together with him. Maybe he has lost ambition and he just needs some new goals to set out for. Depending on the type of person he is new goals might help out in taking the lazy out of him and turning him back into the man you fell in love with in the first place.

P.S why did he get sent to jail? If it was a bad enough thing then option #1 seems like the only way to go.

Girls I am so proud of you that you can see that he is not in your future unless he changes. Your guy needs to step up to the plate and be a man. A woman deserves a man! not a boy. He is not respnsible at all. He should feel embarrassed that his girl is paying the bills. I know it will be hard for you to let go since you have been going out for 5 year cuz that's a long time. You need to move on and find yourself a good man that can support you and be responsible. You need to think of what is good for you. Good Luck with your decision.

I think it's time for a serious change in your life. If jail doesn't wake up a dead beat, you should move on to another relationship or give him an ultimatom; get busy or get out, no sex until there a change in him.

" We have no more time for this. I have goals that I intend to accomplish, You need to get a job and help out. If not, then you need to move on..."

Or something like that... Stand up straight, let him know that you're not in the mood for crap...

It seems as though you already know the answer. Act on it and kick him to the curb.
