I have a six year old girl and she really likes arts and crafts. I find these types of things keep her busy for hours and she gives the things she creates to members of the family as presents and this makes them more unique as they are specially from her.

This sounds like the perfect opportunity to teach your daughter a valuable lesson before she becomes much older.
You're well on the path towards giving your daughter a false sense that she is entitled to have everything she wants without having to work for it. This is going to be a HUGE problem for our country in the next 20 years as these kids get older and then refuse to work.
Take her to a homeless shelter and have her help serve dinner to homeless familes maybe? Sure, give her a present or two, but PLEASE don't encourage her to expect to be handed things as a reward for nothing.
The BEST gift you could give would be if you opened a college savings plan for her. Invest some money every month from now until she turns 18 (maybe 100 dollars a month). Find a good plan that yeilds good returns. A financial advisor can set this up for you. It will ensure that she has a positive future outlook for the rest of her life.

Don't get her things just cuz every other kid has things. Remember that there are kids that get NOTHING on Christmas. My parents were well-off and they never spoiled me or my brother at Christmas. We made a list and they got us a few things we really wanted. BUT we spent A LOT of time decorating, making cookies and candy, seeing the lights in the park, telling stories and listening to horrible Elvis Christmas music :) My G-Ma passed away and the thing I miss most about her is making fudge with her at Christmas. The presents are cool but those memories don't last. I don't remember any presents I got growing up but I remember the "family" things we did and they are fond memories. Just ask her to make a list and take it from there but don't buy her everything in the world...she probably won't play with most of it anyway! Merry Christmas!

Sorry I dont mean to be rude, but sounds like she is a little spoiled, and if she has everything she wants at age 6, I can only imagine it getting worse as she gets older. Maybe instead of getting her more stuff she doesnt need, take her out to do some service or give to people that have less, so she can see how lucky she is. Despite what adults think, kids actually enjoy being charitable (the ones I know anyway).

Well we're completely out of clothes for my little girl, so I'm asking everyone for clothes for her. We always get her some clothes for her birthday anyway. She's asked F.C. for Barbie Fairyoke wings so have just ordered those. She likes listening to stories and quiet music to go to sleep to and so I have bought some stories and songs on CD. My parents started buying Liz collectibles. They get her a Snowman Globe each year, which she loves. How about something like that as a keepsake.
We have birthday AND Christmas to do, on the same day! So wish us luck!

ask her what she wants, that will make her happy if she gets what she wants. Dolls, doll house, maybe a bike if she doesnt already have one, maybe try and get her some crafts like stuff to do, paint, making jewlry, they have all kinds of different things they can do. A little lap top age appropriate that has games and other brain building things on it. Books, something to play on outside if already doesnt have, swing set and such. or a playhouse if affordable to you. There are so many things I could think of if i knew what she already had.

A t that age she is probably eager to learn....perhaps you can put her in some classes..like art..then buy her the supplies for Christmas..
what about dance classes (ballet, jazz etc.) and then for the gift give her a outfit that the instructor wants her to wear to class..
ask you daughter what classes she would like to take?
