it sounds yummy. but since people are going to be eating a ton anyway, i might go with something lighter, like fruit and veggies with dip. but that dip does sound good!

Is the cheese melted or just shredded and mixed in with everything else? It honestly doesn't sound very appetizing. If you have those ingredients, you're better off having just cheese and the crackers.
Or, you could make some kind of warm layered dip that you heat up in the oven. I like to make a dip that is a bottom layer of refried beans, then a guacamole layer, then a layer of monterey jack/cheddar cheese layer (you could even use your bacon and green onions as a layer). If you have a deep pan, repeat the layers. Then bake @ 350 until cheese is bubbly. Remove from oven and top with dollops of sour cream. You can get those Tostitos scoops and your guests can easily scoop the dip from the pan you baked in.
For easy cleanup, use an aluminum foil pan like those loaf pans. Good luck!

This sounds like a great cracker spread. I copied it too....Yes I would serve this with Wheat Thins, and Toppers. Remember, people come for a nibble of appetizers, not as the main course....some people are just ignorant....

Screw the Wheat Thins! Go for some tortilla chips! That dip sounds amazing! I think I'd warm it up, though, before serving.

Sounds great to me! Appetizers are meant to be eaten in small quantities. A few samples of this won't hurt.
