If you're smart enough to graduate high school at the age of 16 then you need to continue and go to college where you can sign up for ROTC and after you get your degree sign up for the military branch you like best. If accepted, you will get sent to OCS (Officers Candidate School) and when you graduate form there you are an officer.

When you are 17, you can sign up with the ok from your guardian. At 18, you can sign up without the ok from them. You are not able to enlist at the age of 16. No waiver is available for that. Make sure you ask about bonuses and education benefits. If you want to get the best compensation for your enlistment, go to an Army National Guard Recruiter and ask about Active First. With this, you get to go active duty and then guard following (which you'd probably end up doing anyway) and you'll get the bonus for going active AND the bonus for the National Guard! In addition, you get tuition (up to 100% in most states) plus GI Bill, etc, etc.

If you are 17 your parents will have to sign the paperwork to let you in. If you are 18 you can by yourself.
Either way go see a recruiter and they will help you get started.

Just stick your head up your butt and stay that way! Eventually someone will say, hey she looks like a marine! After that it's all downhill from there!

definitely go to the local office.

i would also encourage you to check out all branches to see which is the best fit for YOU. Websites and brochures will give you info, but it's generic. best to get it first hand.
