And what would you define a "good Christian" to be?

Can you give any examples of people on here that you see as "good Christians"?

Actually this is directed to non-christians. Sorry for the literary foul.

I'd like to see more acceptance that belief systems are personal and that there are more choices than Christianity. We all know you feel that the Christian God is the only true god - but again, its a belief, and not one held by everyone.

I think a "good Christian" is pretty much the same as a "good atheist" or Buddist, or Islamist, or Pagan - a good person. period. Help those in need, offer understanding and support, be active in your community, promote peace and goodwill, try to control negative behavior such as jealousy and greed. A good person is a good person no matter what their faith. Some look to a source, others look within. It doesn't matter, the result is the same.

I would love to see them be "christlike". Most of them aren't.
Jesus did not go to people, people came to him. He didn't knock on doors, rant and rave in the streets like psychopaths, judge those around him OR believe in the Bible. Yet Christians these days tend to do all of the above and then defend it in his name. Sorta hypocritical. They want everyone to tolerate THIER faith, but they sure don't do it for anyone else.
Not ALL Christians are like that. I know some really cool ones. But over all, here in the Bible belt, there couldn't be less Christlike Christians.

the question you sould be asking is ' what am i doing here on this earth'? not why do we still have religion.
once you understand what you are here for then you will understand the meaning of life.
i think with most human beings they do not answer this question correctly and thus the fighting and wars you see in ur life.
obviously if we use our intelligence we can come to the conclusion that man was created, this is because man is limited, it relies on food and air. and also if ppl do not belive man is created then why can we not create a single man, give them a functioning body and brain?
and once we have answered this question, we can then look around us and come to the same conclusion aout the wrold, i.e the world is limited it relies on the sun and water and this means the world is not created as well. now moving onto the universie we cannot sense its bountries but we know it is limited. this is becasue we can use our intelligence to come to the conclusion that everything INSIDE the universie is limited, i.e earth, moon sun, mercury etc. Thus the universie is limited as its components are limited.
So after all this the intellect man would come to the conclusion that there is a creator who is unlimited and does not relay on ANYTHING.
Nowu got to ask urself why was i created, what does the creator want from me? the only way to find out is ask the creator, but we will not get a response. But the creator CAN communicate to all of us using a MESSENGER (Prophets)
These prophets cannot be just any1, they need to perform a mircle in order prove they are messengers. A mircle that no1 else can match, a mircle that is a gift from the creator only.
So now we look into our history books and can see that he messengers of the creator all had a mircle, i.e. jesus could bring the dead back to life, moses could turn a stick into a snake, abraham did not get burnt by fire.
all these messengers had a mircle and brought a message to its ppl, but the mircle finished with these ppl when they passed away.
The only mircle that is still alive and will be till the end of time is the QURAN. This is because no humanbeing can write anything in arabic anything close to the quran. it is the speech of the CREATOR because we know who ever wrote it has given every man a challange. in the QURAN the challange is to match its words that consist of three lines. But as we all know no human being or ppl put together have been able to match this challange. So if human beings cannot write three lines that match the QURAN they cannot obviously write the whole of the QURAN.
So using our intellect we can confirm the QURAN is NOT from MAN but can only be from a CREATOR.

And now my frinds you have answered one of the MAIN questions of life!!!

I Would Like Christianity To Be Banished From This Earth

The Religion Is Just Too Damn Political

The Sermon on the Mount.... It's Jesus' teachings, ignored by today's Christians. Take care of the poor, those in jail, those down on their luck. Today's Christianity is about power. (Look at Pat Robertson and his billions in Mana) Also, Christ said it was a sin to pray in public, and never did so himself. NEVER. I'd like Christians to observe Christ and what HE did.

1. Someone who reads their Bible, prays, but does it silently, and doesn't comment on my belief, or lack of belief.
2. Someone who has read a great deal on many religions, but is still happy being who they want to be, not what the sheep tell them to be.
I see many 'good Christians' but none of them are people I'd like to know in person.

Still now I cannot see one of the real christian. Either a superinsitutionor or a so-called scientist.
A real christian only follow the step of christ and never ask why and never talk about the new testimont. No argue, no conclusion, just go on and on. (May be someone called this sutborn or stupid) it is a real christian.
