I don't think so. Why do illegal aliens like the term undocumented? Makes them sound like they had documents once and lost them or something. What are you views?

I'm sure they have papers. Just not papers that Americans can read or that matter squat in the old USofA.

They are criminals. Let s just call them what they are, shall we?

DEPORT, Deport, deport.

LOL! I'm sure drug pushers like that term.

On a serious note, the term 'undocumented' was coined not by illegal aliens themselves, but by politicians.

Some illegals had documents but their visas expired or they over-stayed, so the term 'undocumented' isn't entirely correct. Other illegals are here without any kind of legal documentation - legal is the important word here - and they may have illegal or fake documents or use stolen documents such as identity theft.

No,they aren't nor are illegals"undocumented". They have documents from their own country, they just lack documents that makes them legally here so the term is inappropriate and incorrect. Illegal alien is the appropriate wording.

"Undocument immigrants" is just a euphemistic tap dance to take the linguistic edge off of what they really are, which is illegal aliens, and minimize the criminal aspects of their acts.

Yes...drug pushers ARE unlicensed pharmacists. Bank robbers engage in unauthorized withdrawals. Same idea. The aliens, drug pushers, and bank robbers are all just trying to better their lives, too.

Daneen G. Peterson did an in depth analysis of this very question, excerpted below:

Unfortunately, in this 'war of words' . . . those who control the semantics, in this case the illegal alien lobby, guarantees that the choice of words and phrases used will essentially control the debate. That is why the pro-illegals crowd will NEVER use the word "illegal" in conjunction with "immigrants," so that when they refer to our country as a "nation of immigrants," they are able to obfuscate and blur what should be a perfectly clear view of very contrary facts!

In a very subtle but complex way, the illegal alien lobby is getting most Americans to submissively place themselves on par with those illegal "immigrants" who are invading our 'nation of immigrants!' By controlling the dialogue the pro-crowd has taken the issue out of our control, and placed it in the hands of those countries who are exporting their citizens. It is a form of psychological warfare, using propaganda as a support for illegal aliens, primarily from Hispanic and Latino countries, who are demographically overwhelming our country. It is propaganda meant to disarm Americans so that we will not resist the "human tsunami" of some 23 million illegal aliens that have already invaded and balkanized America, and continue to arrive at a rate of 10,000 per day Unfortunately the pacification seems to be working, since most Americans, along with the media, have readily accepted the notion that 'we are a nation of immigrants' as being true and factual!

that's a funny analogy...

but not quite the same thing...

Undocumented, simply means...we don't know who they are or how many there are. It doesn't give legitimacy to their illegal status. They are still in fact illegals.

However, I never really liked using the term illegal aliens.....to me that sounds like they are from another planet. I just say illegal immigrants.

They have documents but to avoid having background checks preformed no documents are bothered with. Since they can aquire a new set here. If they have no documents how do they get jobs does document fraud become acceptable as long as you can claim undocumented ??

I agree with the illegal immigrant part because calling them " undocumented " makes people forget that they are here illegally !

I don't think illegal aliens like any reality based descriptive term except maybe "citizen of the world entitled to live anywhere they can make a living and/or receive government entitlements".

Sure and instead of sending them to Prison, we need to send them to a correctional institute.

As to why illegals perfer to call themselves undocumented, they are in denial of doing anything wrong. They do it for good PR>

Since it's thankgiving, let's give thanks to Mexico for being the first to domesticate the TUrkey that would grace our table.
