"I'm not scared of dieing i just don't want to"

Wow, I'm surprised by most of the answers. I often think about death and am very afraid. I thought most people thought like me. I can't imagine not being here anymore and not being with my family and them not having me to turn to. I try to look on the bright side and enjoy life for now, it would be too easy to spend too much time worrying about it. It must be a big comfort for those who believe there is some sort of life after death.

Not one bit. Death is only a long sleep while you wait to be resurrected again. When you have a good nights rest but are unaware of dreaming you dont know how much time is passed do you? Its the same with death because you are not afraid to go to bed at night to sleep are you?

It's natural to be a little bit afraid especially if we think we may suffer pain etc. although good medical care should take care of this. It would be nice if we just went to sleep and didn't know anything about it wouldn't it?

If you have any sort of belief about an afterlife it must be a comfort to think that one day we will meet those that we have loved that have already gone. I like to think that this is the case, although of course no one can say for sure.

I don't think it is worth worrying about although I think it must be sad to know you are going to die and leave your family behind without you.

Taking advantage of what life has to offer and celebrating the good times, appreciating the love we have on earth makes our lives a whole lot more worthwhile. I am concentrating on trying to enjoy life before my time is up.

I am a bit scared but I hope, when the time comes, I will face death peacefully and in serenity. It all depends on the cause of death. I hope it happens at home and not in a cold, sterile hospital, like my poor, mam and dad. i also think that hospices are a good place to die.

I think it's natural to be afraid of the unknown; and with the consciousness that I now have, it makes me sad to think about not experiencing the relationships and pleasures this life offers; but I hope that whatever happens when I die will come with a forgetting of all that's come before if I won't be allowed to enjoy it anymore.

I'd have to say that I am afraid of the process of dying, but not of death itself.

Not so much death but not being able to see the ones I love anymore. Also to not enjoy the life I now have.

Negative. Perhaps afraid of *dieing* painfully...but not death as in the cessation of life. As long as I make it long enough to see my daughter into adulthood, I fear nothing after death.

I'm not afraid of death. It's the "HOW" that I'm worried about.
Death is merely a door way between this life and the next.
