They did not practice any religion. They claimed to not believe.
They are going to cremate him?!?!?!?
I still want to do something nice for his wife. What can I do?
Bring food to the house? Send flowers?
Any ideas?
Thanks!

If you want to bring something, make it food, not flowers. Traditionally, that's what Jews do for mourners, and even though they are non-practicing, they still are likely to appreciate your subtle sensitivity to Jewish custom.
But you might consider, instead or in addition, making a donation in his name to an appropriate charity--such as an organization he supported, or the fund to fight whatever disease he died of.
You might also call on his wife every so often, over the next few months, to see if she'd like to talk, needs a hand with chores, just wants some company, or whatever..... Mourning takes awhile; she would probably value your friendship and support.
