If Gods voice is so powerful?

How come i cant hear it?

I dont think you have to be saved to hear God's voice but, otherwise no one could get saved. But I guess if you ever do hear it you'll know.

It will be very difficult to answer your question without offending you so here goes... you may not be as intune to his voice as you thought you were.

Although God's word is very powerful, He does not speak in a very loud voice that resembles a megaphone. God speaks in a soft still voice that you have to be really listening to hear. Thus, unless you are actually trying to hear the voice of God, you will not hear it because as much as he wants to get your attention, he always gives his children a choice in what they want to do.

When you hear someone talk to you, your physical ear picks up sonic vibrations that your brain interprets as words and phrases. However, there is something in your soul that "hears" what is being said, and "understands" the meaning. Two people could say they love you., a stranger, or your spouse. Both speak the same words, but your soul will interpret them completely differently.

When God speaks, He bypasses the physical and goes straight for the heart. We hear Him plainly, just without the sonic vibrations on the ear drum.

So how can we be sure it is the Lord? Because it will be confirmed with His Word, the Bible. God will always confirm that the voice is His through His Word and other means such as opened or closed doors.

In Christianity, our relationship with God is a personal one, so it is very hard to describe. I tried to describe it here...

I don't know you personally, but I'm guessing its because you've heard a few echoes of his voice, didn't like what you heard, and are trying to run away with your hands in your ears.

My advice is to get your hands out of your ears and onto your Bible, and to stop running away and starting to recieve from it God's word to you.

I could go all twee and say that even if you refused to listen to God's word spoken to you you could still hear the voice of God speaking through the singing of the birds in the trees, but then what about the roar of the lion? We live in a fallen world, and Satan is going about like a roaring lion, trying to deafen us to what God would have to say, and scaring us into submission to the status quo, instead of risking a transformed life as God works in us.

Let me ask you something.Do you pray a lot,Read your bible daily? Do you ever ask God to speak to you?
A lot of times God just whispers things to
our heart.
I remember when I first started going to church.I went home on the streets,and I told my boyfriend that I was not going to buy any more drugs.And he said just like that after 49years.And I said yep that's right.
Well about 3 or 4 weeks later I was cashing my check,and I thought yep I'll just go buy us an 8 ball.In case you don't know what that is,It's dope.Well as I was standing there I heard a little voice say "I thought you was going to buy Bill a watch.I started laughing.
I said there isn't any watches around here.
Girl behind me asked if I was talking to her.I said know that I was talking to myself.But as I turned around to say it.There was a man selling watches.I bought two of them.One for Bill,and one for myself.And I went home without the dope.
God had spoken to me.And I listened to him.I was blessed by him for it.I married Bill not to long after that.Cause God had showed him to me as the one for me.
I now have the most wonderful husband that a woman could ever ask for.

If u can't hear it, then just feel it, u can feel the god inside u. Just think about your existence on earth and think about the air entering inside and exiting due to which you are alive and the god gave u such opportunity to live you as a human beings............. so don't search the god outside you can never find because it is inside u, it is inside every living beings. and if u know the god which is inside u then you will be the one of the luckiest person in this world......

You hear God through His Word, the Holy Bible, which the Holy Spirit helps you understand. The Holy Spirit is necessary to hear God clearly.

If you are not saved, the Holy Spirit's first act will be to draw you to God. You must accept that, repent and accept Jesus as Saviour if you have not already done so. After that, the Holy Spirit will be within you.

It is in the silence that you will hear him. In prayer when you genuinely ask to hear. But the whole world did not hear as he was born unnoticed. The Word was made flesh and would then dwell among us only later would he speak human words.
