NO...First off the "Metal Bolts for this piece of Chinese Junk are made out of aluminum and plastic with a small metal point. I have shot one of these myself and you would be lucky to pierce one side of a plastic Milk jug at 10 feet if in fact you can hit the Jug at all. Kill a Deer with it..NO WAY. You would be foolish and cruel to try because all you might do is wound it.These are inaccurate..The "darts" (Good name for them) have only two plastic vanes on the darts..They wobble in the air when they are shot.To hit a regular playing card at 10' would be a feat in itself. These are "Toys" that you can hurt yourself and others with..a Novelty item and should not be taken seriously nor shot at ANY animals.......Save you money.SERIOUSLY..

Regulations vary state to state:
1. It is illegal to hunt anything with a crossbow unless you can document a medical reason you cannot use a regular bow.
2. If you were to use a cross bow to hunt deer - it is illegal to use metal bolts.
3. Real crossbows are expensive 350 +
4. That little chinese beauty wouldn't have the accuracy or power to kill anything beyond 10 feet.
5. If you choose to hunt anything with any bow, you need to select the correct tips for the shaft. Broadheads, practice points etc.
Do more research.

I have one of these pieces of crap.. While firing it, the plastic cap that covers the end of the metal bow shattered and had to get another one. The darts are solid plastic with a metal covered tip, and they suck. I would not suggest you use a dart for it that wasn't specifically made for it, so for your own sake don't put the metal bolt in it. I shot it at a Styrofoam box in the back yard and it hardly stuck. Loading it is actually a pain, as it won't load as it was obviously intended to load, using the metal pull bar. The bowstring won't slip over the trigger release unless you pulled it and moved it by hand. JD is right about it, its a piece of junk. At best you could seriously hurt someone when it misfires while loading it.

Cross bows like the other types of bows have minimum pull weight and in Colorado that little hand cross bow wouldn't qualify to hunt anything with. And the arrow heads would have to be broad heads with a minimum width of 7/8". What you have is a toy. And if used wrong it could be a dangerous toy or a fun toy. I would not do anything with it except shoot it at pop cans in the back yard.

That's more of a novelty item or a toy - that's not a serious "weapon" or hunting tool. (At leats not compared to a REAL hunting crossbow)
If you get off a lucky shot from a close distance - you could put a fatal shot into someone chest ... but at any sort of significant range (especially in deer-hunting, since those are pretty skittish to begin with) ... I doubt these are "deadly"

at 50 lbs yes it could be fatal but that type of crossbow bolt would not be legal.

You'd be better off throwing handfulls of rocks at the deer. (Spelled DEER)
That thing is a toy, and a crappy toy at that.
