Achtung has left the building, I see.
JWs celebrate God everyday & don't celebrate the birth of christ.
for more than one reason.
the only birthdays mentioned in the bible are associated with bad things happening.
eg pharaohs birthday & the orders to kill all the first born,
john the baptist beheaded as a birthday present to salome.
get the idea..............
& anyway you already probably know, jesus wasn't born in Dec,
December is a man-made reference to time,
his birth was merely paired up with a Mid-Winter festival, that pre-christians celebrated & was designed to keep the Masses happy.
i celebrate christmas, begrudgingly.
the pressure & back-lash isn't worth the effort.

Here are so many answers which repeat. So why should I reword my answer every time? A copy paste is better.
I don't understand what you mean when you say "formed Jehovah's Witnesses." Please reword.
Maybe you mean "former". In that case you should read the next verses:
"Certainly if, after having escaped from the defilements of the world by an accurate knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they get involved again with these very things and are overcome, the final conditions have become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them not to have accurately known the path of righteousness than after knowing it accurately to turn away from the holy commandment delivered to them. The saying of the true proverb has happened to them: “The dog has returned to its own vomit, and the sow that was bathed to rolling in the mire" -- 2 Peter 2:20-22

It warms the heart to be spoken of so glowingly. And to discern an anti-Witness who has not yet blocked this answerer! A rare treat indeed!
ah.
That was nice... ...now then.
Yes, it seems likely that at least one former Jehovah's Witness will have celebrated his first Thanksgiving holiday. Of course, most Jehovah's Witnesses are merely saddened that the majority of their neighbors seem to require the government's explicit encouragement before it occurs to them to reflect a modicum of gratitude to even a semblance of a higher being.
Regarding a matter which would seem to have little obvious connection with the initial "question", it seems best to simply note that the "Proclaimers" book and "The Watchtower" magazine are both authoritative references for matters concerning Jehovah's Witnesses, and then include most of material toward which the questioner seems to refer. Herewith...
Yes, the majority of Jehovah's Witness disfellowshippings concern unrepentant fornication. That has been the case for decades, and Jehovah's Witnesses have candidly admitted as such.
Jehovah's Witnesses - Proclaimers of God's Kingdom (page 103)
[quote]
Jehovah’s Witnesses were not unaffected by the sexual revolution of the 1960’s. In fact, several thousand—a small percentage of their total number—had to be disfellowshipped each year, the majority for sexual immorality.
[unquote]
The Watchtower, February 15, 1993 (page 8)
[quote]
Although only a small proportion of Christians are affected, it has to be recognized that the majority of cases of disfellowshipping from the ranks of Jehovah’s Witnesses for unrepentant conduct unbecoming a Christian are related to some form of sexual immorality.

I'm guessing you mean "reformed"?
My brother achtung_heiss always gives links to the site where he got his information from in all his answers.
You obviously just see his name and give him a thumbs down before you read his entire answer, don't you?
EDIT: Lavender; the fact that the asker has noticed the part that gives the reason that so many leave, if he really is interested he'd have noticed as well that there is a source cited.

he always show his source, and you know that we have statics, if we have statics of people that came into the congregation why we wouldn´t have the same about the people that left the congregation and the reason?
your argument is not valid and he is even here so why you attack him? men don´t attack by the backside but by the front.
LAVENDER: it doesn´t matter if is cut and paste from previous answers but if is right or wrong, it doesn´t matter if ylu like or not but if is true or false, at the end the only important thing is that.

To the JW's here; could it be that people stopped reading his answer because its all cut & paste? Its like a robot reading the newspaper. I usually just read his first paragraph and when I come to the cut & paste, I don't read no more. He never tells nobody nothing straight from his heart. There is no feelings and compassion from answers that only come from a magazine. That is NOT your heart talking J. Witnesses. Open your hearts and maybe people will REALLY start paying attention. You owe that much to my friend. She was different from you guys. She had the heart of gold. She died for you guys you know. Maybe Achtung is helping his wife get ready for the family dinner tomorrow night?
Hey you guys, did you hear about that Mormon Leader that got arrested? He was trying to marry off young girls like 14 years old to older men!? Big jail sentence for him!
MOISES, it DOES matter. You read it once, twice, thrice; or by the second time a person will just skip it. You can get the message across much more clearly if you use another reasoning to back up the first, second, or third. Maybe the first and second did not cut like a sword, so you gotta reason in another way and MAYBE they will "get it". Like you keep repeating the same scenario of Armageddon and never making it more interesting than the past lesson's of it; it dulls the brains senses. I learned alot just from hearing stories from my friend. I might liven things up here and start telling her stories.............or lessons. Want to hear it?
My gosh, I don't give any of you the t-downs. Show the same consideration.
