Blue healer are wonderful dogs, but they are BUSY dogs. Their breeding has taught them to work. So be prepared to do lots of walks and Frisbeeing. We have a Queensland Healer and have to really find things for him to do. He carried a ball or a Frisbee everywhere he goes.....just in case he finds a sucker. Our guy is extremely smart and learned to sit, down, stay by the time he was 4 weeks old.

Get ready for a great time. Be sure you establish yourself as leader of the pack or he will assume that roll. If you need help in training see a web site:http://www.cesarmillaninc.com/

There is a group called the blue heeler in the Australian cattle dog group. You can go to the AKC.org website or just google "blue heeler dog" and get tons of info. These are special dogs with specific training needs and it would be great to read all you can about them so that you can raise him correctly. Good luck with your new baby .

yes there is such thing. but if you are going to buy ANY sort of dog, make sure he/she has all her/his papers with them. bcoz you never know they could be a mixed breed/mutt but harder to tell. make sure the pups joined with a respectable kennel (perferably KC)
