Then you have bought into the stereotypes of Muslim men and really don't know what you're talking about. You're equating the treatment of Muslim women in a few countries to the whole Muslim world. Would you also say then that a Muslim would be lucky if a non Muslim man wanted to marry her? My sister is Muslim and I have high standards for any man who wants to marry her, Muslim or not.

William, Now I know old Tweekus well and he no know-it-all. He isfar from it. I dont know any Muslims but I wouldnt hold prejudice against them for their religion. I know most humans show prejudice because they see the terrorist muslims and believe there are no good muslims but you know only closed minded twits judge people by their religion instead of the person they are. THAT is the problem with the world today. Prejudice, closed minded dullards that would not judge the individual for themselves rather their religions. So I believe that if a muslim wanted to marry the daughter I wish I had, I would agree. If he hurt her, Iwould hurt him. BUT not for his religion because the ultimate decision to do something is up to the individual.

How dare you tell me what is the correct answer to your question before I even start to answer it. The ones I worry about are not the "few bad apples", they are the closed minded, arrogant, and know it all people like you. No, I am not a Muslim, but that is not the issue. I would have protested to the point of annoyance if my daughters were to bring someone home like you to be their husbands. I believe in the right to freedom of ideas. Not in the wrongs of bigotry and hate. You are the perfect model for those wrongs.

Very difficult question to answer, I am atheist, which only means that I don't believe in God, or any religion at all!
I have just read a news report about a woman in Saudi, she was raped by about 6 Muslim fellers.
Her 'crime' was the fact that she was out with a man that she was not a relation off! She got 100 lashes and a couple of years in Jail! The men got about 6 months each in jail.
Now to you and I this is barbaric and almost impossible to understand, they may as well come from another planet?
The 100 lashes seems like the worse bit doesnt it?
I will bore you a little more (because I can)!
I was in jail in Saudi,(only for 3 days) minor traffic offence, no food, no water, shared a cell with 2 Muslims, pile of straw in one corner of the cell, I had a sleep on that, only to find it was the spot to use as loo!
I was giving the police a lot of hassle asking for water , I was told "We dont feed criminals, this is not the UK" I continued to give him a lot of lip.
Eventually he said "For your driving offence , you could recieve 20 lashes"!!!
Bloody hell, no water was one thing , 20 lashes was a bit much, he saw my face change , he laughed and explained that these lashes were not to inflict pain but the feller doing the lashing had to have a copy of the Koran under his arm and not let it drop, it was meant to humiliate rather than hurt!!!
I said "OK, I can stand any amount of humiliation, it's the pain I dont like" He stood looking at me for almost a couple of minutes until the translation got through, then he burst out laughing, he rushed off to tell his fellow officers what I had said, they came to have a look at me,
Then they opened the cell door and told me to clear off!
To get back to your question, I have two Daughters, neither of them are religious, both are married and both are living in different parts of Spain, one is married to a Spanish cop ( he is almost a fascist) I dislike fascists almost as much as I dislike all religions.
The other Daughter is married to a Scot (salt of the earth)!
I have no desire at all to dictate to either of them, about who they should or should not marry, (they would take no notice) and the very idea would make me as bad as the religious nutters.

If the man is a good man, I wouldn't mind...If my daughter Became a Muslim, I wouldn't mind.
As long as they love and respect each other, what's the problem? I would hope my daughter will think for herself and marry a good person that she cares deeply about. I have met many decent and upstanding Muslims.

Well you certainly contribute to the negative stereotype. I've been married to a muslim for nearly 15 years now. (I do not adhere to religion at all) He has always treated me with utmost kindness and respect. A man's religion means less than nothing, who a man is counts a great deal more, and you can find wife beating jerks in every culture and religion on the planet, not just the muslim one.

Oi... when i read this question, i felt a tinge of disdain for muslims.
and you don't want the few bad apples nonsense, when it really isn't nonsense.
I know many muslim men who treat thier women like goddesses pretty much. and believe it or not, half of the women involved are devout evangelical christians.
Now, back to the question.
If i did have a daughter, and she wanted to marry a muslim, i would welcome the man into the family with open arms.
no reason to be hating on the one muslim on the basis of the stereotypical actions of his religion.
sides, if i had a daughter, she'd prolly be christian anyhoo, so that would be a melting pot of religions in me household!

studies have shown that the same women often find themselves in abusive relationships over and over again. why? pheromones and psychology. the truth is, many women actually desire (on some subconscious level) poor treatment.
if your daughter could tolerate the average treatment of women as a Muslim man's wife...well, then chances are she probably likes it.
...in the same way that a bigoted question deserves a bigoted answer.

A few bad apples
So your saying all people of Muslim faith act your stereotypical view? Have you been to any countries that are majority Muslim?
have you met an American Muslim? Have you asked them why they live here?
If you don't want a few bad apples nonsense, than do you want only people who agree with you so satisfy your opinion?
