I was told in another question that I missed the Rapture. Did anybody else's parents/church make them watch those "Thief in the Night" movies? And were you as totally emotionally scarred by them as I was? I swear, if I came downstairs and my parents weren't immediately visible, I was always terrified I'd missed the Rapture. And worried that I would accidentally take the Mark of the Beast somehow.

Talk about scare tactics! As a parent, I could NEVER do that to my kids!!

Yes I saw them.......great message in them.....if you can get past the bad 70's clothes & really awful hairstyles.

The message of Christ's return remains true throughout the ages........regardless of the time period.

I agree, my kids are free to think for themselves and are not forced into believing anything. I especially wouldn't have them watch movies like that.

A perfect example of how religion propagates itself. Hope you're feeling better now!
