$6/hour

It is reasonable, and not too far under minimum wage.

It depends on how many children and the ages. If it's a 2-5 year old then charge $10 per hour. If the child is 6-12 then charge about $7-$8 per hour.

If I were hiring you, (to sit one child) I'd first like to know your qualifications. ie If you've babysat before, if you have cpr training, all those things. Then I'd like to know what you think you are worth. I'd probably try to get you to babysit for about $5 an hour (I know it isn't much). But if you do a good job, and everyone is comfortable, it would increase the next time to $7 an hour. Then there is the possiblity of long term, steady babysitter: Then I'd give you even more.
I'd suggest being flexable, and starting with what you think you are worth and not going any lower than that. But keep in mind if you haven't done babysitting before or if you haven't had any formal training; a price too high will keep potential customers away. Hope you figure it out! Blessings.

$7 an hour is a good start i would pay that! but if you have a daycare business the going rate is $4/hour so keep that in mind! but because its last minute and most likely in the evening times i would say $7.50 that way they wont want to give you change so they'll round it up! good luck;)

It depends on how many children, their ages and the area you live in. In our town for a single child it is $7/hr if in diapers and $6/hr if potty trained. Add a dollar an hour for each additional child.
