Ok. Each girl has two legs. There are 7 girls. 7*2=14.
Each girl carries 7 bags. Inside each bag there is 7 cats. Each cat has 4 legs. 7*7*7*4=1372. Each cat has seven kitties with 4 legs. 1372*7= 9604. Add them all up. 14+1372+9604=10990.
If you're including the bus driver, add 2 more legs. 10990+2-=10992

It's a surprisingly high number.
First count the bags. There are 49 of them.
Now look in EACH bag. There are 49 kittens and 7 cats. That makes 56 felines PER BAG! So each bag has 224 legs in it.
So the total number of feline legs is 224 x 49. That's 10976.
There are 14 human legs, so the total is 10976 + 14
ANSWER: 10990

The answer is 10990 legs on the bus. That is not including the bus driver. Including the bus driver it is 10992 legs. Quite a simple operation really, for a genius of my stature. The reason that the other guy got it posted before me is because he looked online for the answer, and I really solved it so it took longer.
