Maybe because these same questions were being raised when the bible was being written. The bible is an argument for Christianity, of sorts.

I have a chance to think... I am not brainwashed... I do know things about science...

It's funny because you said... "t is almost as if the authers of the bible knew that these questions would be asked and quickly put a answer in the bible just to shut us up" Is the answers from the Bible stumping you? Can you not give a rebuttle?

The 'authors' of the Bible were inspired by God. The Bible is God's Word. That is why the answers can be found in the Bible, and why the 'authors' were intelligent enough to write the words. I personally think about what I read in the Bible, as do the other Christians I fellowship with; and guess what we don't always agree on the meaning of what we have read! However we are intelligent enough to realize we are not perfect and therefore may be wrong.

I`m not an Atheist, but I don`t follow any religion either. What I have read in the Bible just leads to more questions. There are so many missing parts in genesis alone, that it lead me to seek answers elsewhere. When people throw out biblical quotes without any insight as to why or how the passage came to be in the first place. You might as well shoot spitballs at the questioner, because at least he`d know what he was hit with.

Almost correct, Christians have to be well versed in apologetics (which are not part of the bible) to answer many of the question presented here. The cut and paste answers with quoted bible scriptures rarely actually answer the question that was asked. They provide a nice diversion for believers to attack the questioner or the question itself, but they rarely ever actually answer the question.

Edit: My Q&A is filled with questions that people dodged and talked around instead of actually answering. The most common answer: "You have to have faith".

I often find the answers are not very relevant to the questions. They reflect a view that was spot on 1500 years ago but doesn't really fit into the world where we have a better understanding of how things work.

What do I think?
I think that there should be something that signifies the bible itself is true.
I do not think it makes believers more gullible I just see basing everything on the bible alone is like building a house on quicksand.

we raise these questions because no one in the past effectively withstood the will of the church and people accepted everything as truth coming from the church. whenever the church suffered major challenges to its authority and doctrine, low and behold, the church discovered another written gospel that miraculously gave them the answer and proof the church needed. Ramen!
most church goers find it easier just to sit and listen and have their little heads filled with this crap from childhood to aduthood and never question its source nor the history of the church.

they deceive themselves, because they choose to do so.

What I think is that if atheists ask puerile questions they are like to get puerile answers. Questions like, "Why is God such an obvious twunt?" hardly leaves you impressed with the cutting edge of their arguments

There are only so many good arguments against religion. They've all been thought of before, so the religious have had time to get their responses down.
