Please avoid like the plague the barbaric Old Testament ! Later, you will be spiritually wise enough to pick out only the best 1% or 2% eternal Truth gems in the Old Testament.

Read the Gospel of John and Romans ch 8 slowly in prayer and asking for more Spirit of Truth Revelation on all that you read. Read them at least 4 times over and over again, and mark with highlighter colored pens all the big gems of Truth.
Paraphrase these and share them with others in our own God-given words of Truth. Practice the Presence of God and Jesus here fully as One in Spirit.

The "Book of Revelation" of the Eternal Nature of Jesus Christ (and not about future human events !) is so confused, rewritten, garbled that no human can figure it out as written. I do suggest that you read and believe Rev 21:3-7 after you read many times John and Romans ch 8.

Peace and progress,

I would start with the four Gospels

John - then Luke
Mark and Matthew

that's a good beginning - and get into a weekly Bible study
in an Evangelical Church

If you're a new Christian, John is a good place to start. If you've been a Christian for a long time and you haven't been reading you Bible, you might want to study Romans 8.

John is a good book to place to start - an intimate look at Jesus by one of his closest friends............Jesus is quoted a great deal.

I would definitely read the Gospels first - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John......................I love Genesis to get a good look at God as our Father and how the whole thing started and why we need Jesus - the Abrahamic covenant, etc.

It's not a bad idea to begin at the beginning, but you can begin anywhere so long as you do so prayerfully. Ask God to guide you through His Word.
