Jesus camp:

Westboro Baptist:

Bombing abortion clinic bombings, etc.
If you view the videos of these kids in the Jesus camp or westboro they really love what they're doing.
How long before the line is crossed and spiritual warfare manifests itself in physical violence.
How many more generations of this teaching will yield this?
The theology and doctrines are already in place for such a jump to occur.
Westboro for example are Calvinists as such believes in election.
Simply put, God already determined who is saved and who isn't.
It is not a stretch to believe that a sick mind would go on killing spree saying they are doing people a favor as the ones elected by God will get to go to heaven while the others were destined for hell anyways.
There seems to be a huge potential for abuse.

If the government cracks down on them then they will think it is the persecution prophesied by God. They believe they would be martyrs for God.
This is not a stretch but a very real thing that could happen in the near future.

Look I'm not saying that majority of churches would condone it either.
Even in Islam the majority don't condone the actions of the terrorists.
However a few has caused a lot of trouble for the many.

Exactly. We'd better be looking for them in our own backyards. I keep being reminded of a book called The Handmaid's Tale (Margaret Atwood).... and it's a frightening thought.
The jump is just a stone's throw away and if people don't think it "can't happen here" they're sadly mistaken.

This is the most obviously dishonest use of a "question" I have ever seen. Last week there was a "question" by an atheist, who asked if Christians had read a certain article written by an atheist, and then he gave a link to the article. In case you are honestly this mentally messed up, the two examples you gave, one, a leftist anti-Christ type who made a movie, and two, a group of wackos that are less than ten people who are all in the same family! So your examples are so far from representing what Christianity is, that your "Question" does not make any sense. I suggest that you go to www.monergism.com and read for a while and then you might have a better idea what Christians actually believe.

Based on what information I have absorbed considering this particular group, and my understanding of how various froms of pshycological and societal conditioning function, it is most likely that the current generation is the one that will begin to escalate the potential for violence into more...substantial action.
Like the Branch-Davidians in Waco, any action taken against them will only cement the idea that they are being persecuted for their beliefs and strengthen their resolve. Acting agains them will prove tot hem that they hav been right all along. Unfortunately, UNLIKE the Branch-Davidians in Waco these people will not eventually collapse under the weight of their own fanaticism and go away like those in Waco would have if left alone.
IF they are ignored they will get worse, believing, at least tacitly that no one will act against them. If action is taken against them, they will get worse, believeing that those acting agains them are "godless" and need to be stopped by any means necessary.
It is, unfortunately a no win situation as no matter what is or is not done it will serve only to fuel their efforts and motivate them to even more destructive acts.

i think of that's a one-sided diagnosis. the U. S. did no longer recommend slavery. Jefferson wrote a passage interior the assertion of Independence condemning slavery, however the Continental Congress had it bothered. sure, state governments did enable slavery, yet as an corporation, it grew to become into no longer addressed interior the form till the thirteenth substitute, which grew to become into ratified for the time of and shortly after the Civil conflict (different than for Mississippi, which ratified it in 1995). Slavery grew to become right into a state concern, no longer a US concern. That being reported, Christians might have used the Bible to justify slavery, and be good approximately doing so, yet Chrsitians a minimum of because of the fact the time of Andrew Jackson were talking out against it besides. that's not honest to link Christianity to slavery because of the fact the corporation pre-dated Christianity, and Christians interior the U. S. weren't united of their evaluations of it throughout the time of the nineteenth century.

Its already here I hate to say. There's a documentary of the Mormon movement called "God's Army" I believe, a few years old. There are children being trained for the coming 'end of the world' as they believe. Brainwashing on a huge scale is already happening in this case.

They are not "new".
Christian terrorism has been present since they burned the Great Library of Alexander to the ground. It contained over a million scrolls, I forget the date, but I bet I have a friend somewhere that knows the exact date.
Peace.

I cannot think that rational people would ever let things get that bad. If they looked like they were, there are some fail safes in the USA to prevent religion taking over. Of course if the President is a fundie, it can be hard to keep those fail safes effective.
So the secular parts of society must keep vigil.

Honestly, I'm a Christian, and I am afraid of that, too. The fact is, whoever doesn't love their neighbor as themselves does not live the Faith of Christ. Christ never taught war, instead he taught the opposite.
The calvinists... they have caused quite a bit of problems. Calvin rarely used the Bible for his teachings... He wanted to create a certain sort of... Christian feudalism where the intellectuals would be saved and the poor would not, as if it had been God who had chosen this way. God calls us all. He is at the door for all of us...
