its hard for christians parents to talk to each other about sex, that is why they have the highest teen pregnancy rate.

It's never been particularly hard for me. As another answerer already stated, if I don't tell them, someone else will for sure. I've been talking to my sons about it since they were quite young. Their father's first marriage and their older sister were products of unmarried teen sex. He was forced to drop out of school and get a job to support a new wife and baby (believing it was the right thing to do at the time), and is terribly embittered by what he feels he's missed out on. They've taken the point well. :-)

No. We started when he started showing curiousity. Animal Planet is a great channel to watch to get the discussion started. "Why are the lions doing that? Are they fighting or playing?"

No, it's not hard. I have a 5yr old daughter and i've already started talking to her about it. If I don't someone else will.
