i dont think that there is an after life, i belive we live on through children, memories and achievements.
i think once the body has died that's it.
only the human race would be so vain to think that they could last forever!

The funny thing is, I think I may have lived before...I often dream about the same places I have never visited that seem like 'home' and I know my way around, And it is set in a different century.
The other really bizarre thing is that me and my best friend, when we first met, literally immediately were at ease with each other and were just immediately on the same wave length. There was a survey at school on your most reoccurring dream. when we compared answers after chills ran down our spine- they were almost word for word the same, even the clothes, as if we had both 'lived' there Another strange thing is that we both love the film pride and prejudice, we can both relate to that era? And another thing- Literally as soon as I was old enough to walk, all I wanted to do was learn to horse ride and I could from the word go...it's just very strange and feels 'familiar'. I am sure I have been here and life after this one will not be the last! :D

Havent you ever felt something strangely familiar that you can associate with a past life. I can. I believe in an afterlife because this is Gods promise. Besides that I have had miracles happen. Even doctors have said that this was a micacle. Divine intervention! Does it really matter if you had a life before this? What counts now is the present. Open up and make a good mark on mankind.

Of course there is an after-life... But it is not what most people think it is and it does not come when most people think it does. For the Righteous, the after-life commences at Jesus' Second Coming. For the Unrighteous, the after-life commences (for a short time) at Jesus' Third Coming -- at which point the Lake of Fire destroys all the Unrighteous, including the devil and his angels, forever. See the following materials on Death, Hell, the Rapture, and the Millennium.

Reincarnation aside, I believe because...
a) the Bible says that this '3 score and 10' isn't all there is, and,
b) because it is aethetically satisfying to think that there will be closure, that what we think and do and become now will have some fulfillment beyond momentary happiness or satisfaction. There are just too many loose ends in the world -- an afterlife (the resurrection Kingdom) pulls them all together.

I can't imagine how screwed up everyone would be if we remembered our previous lives. On occasion somethings do filter through but for the most part the veil keeps us sane. It separates the animal from the spirit. We are only here for a short while. Enjoy your life and then return from whence you came. Blessed Be

Life is a continuum;the pre-terrestial,the terrestial and the post-terrestial phases.Whichever way one may want to look at it,our being is shrouded in mystery, moreso where we find ourselves. The only thing that gives it meaning is the belief that there is a Great Designer somewhere.Otherwise,we have lost track of the light.

The Truth in the Word of God promises eternal life in the Kingdom of God. If you have not been called to understand the Truth of God in this age, you will in the next, (not withstanding the incorrigibly wicked) in the Great White Throne Judgment........http://www.ucg.org/booklets/AD/index.htm

I have faith in God and I believe his word - the Bible. God does not lie. His word is dependable.
The Bible tells us that there is not only life after death, but eternal life so glorious that “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, came to the earth to give us this gift of eternal life. “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

I just pray there is an afterlife. There seems to be cause for life otherwise.

If I wasn't going to have an afterlife, why would I have this young mind in this old body? God keeps me believing I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
