My religion guides my spiritualilty, gives me a focal point.

Now, if you ask how my spiritualilty influences the way I live my life, I would say it is the main reason I have meaning at all in life.

Absolutely. And I'm glad it does. What's the point of religion if it doesn't? All the religions I know of try to influence the way their adherants live their lives.

How? By helping me become a better person. Teaching me the word of God and how I can incorporate those aspects of God's character into my life. It's up to me to decide if I want the influence, but in my case it's true - I do want the influence.

I would say God truly influences they way I live my life. Well, it is hard to say how, because i can i say, i dont drink, i dont smoke, i dont curse, and i was virgin when i got marry., i knoe people you do not care about it...but i feel my heart so happy when trying always the tight thing, and taking the good choices. I've made mistakes, too, but i know how to recognize it when i am wrong. I do not get mad too easy, i am a very understanding person, the bible teachs you all that.

Yes, but it's not even close to the biggest influence.

I meditate, I appreciate life, I remember history and find joy in my experiences. You can do all of those things without religion. But my religion helps me with those.

No, because I have no religious beliefs. But to people that are religious, It's not just about influencing your life it really IS your life. Becoming one within your spirituality is a direct reflection of your religion and the most important aspect of a religious person.

Yes it does because it keeps me morally clean, honest in all things, staying married to the same person through all problems, keeps my sanity while the world goes crazy around me, makes me a better, kinder friend and parent. I dont have a religion more a way of life.

i do no longer see that dresses. I see a marvelous, proficient, humorous guy. i admire ya merely the way you're, ((((((((((Jack)))))))))). No faith, no ailment can substitute that. And, to be honest, i do no longer provide a rat's asss what any faith has to declare approximately HIV - or homosexuality. So, i can't extremely say the way it is been prompted via it. usual, faith maintains to be extensive-unfold in an afternoon and age whilst humanity might desire to be previous such archaic questioning because of the fact human beings like to have an excuse to choose others - a minimum of, it is ideal to the Abrahamic religions. And, I say "screw 'em".

Sure it does. Here's one example:

In my household we do all the work from Monday through Saturday. We prepare meals and clean and get everything done so that on Sunday we may rest ourselves and enjoy our family.

Another example is that I try to follow the lead of the Wife of Noble Character in that I rise before the dawn, I work, I have my own business and own my own real estate, give to charity, etc. (it's the last chapter of Proverbs btw).

Another is that I don't follow my own feelings, I let love lead, even if it goes against my own feelings. I might want to smack you upside the back of the head, but love dictates I do not lol

If it does not, then it is not your religion. Whatever you really live for, whatever is your ultimate object of affection, and or source of security is your "god." Behind everything there is a belief system, and so everyone has a "religion." But created things will ultimately fail you, and thus we are commanded by the true and living God, (Exo 20:3) "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

(Acts 17:24-31) "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; {25} Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; {26} And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; {27} That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: {28} For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. {29} Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. {30} And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: {31} Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead."

No. My relationship with God does though. The church that I attend really just gives me friendships and acquaitances with other people that believe the way I do.

However, there are some really legalistic denominations that teach a rigid way of living. Those people are very influenced and almost afraid to behave differently than their preacher or leader suggests.
