the bible doesn't say we are going to either place... the bible actually says that we are going in the ground... the common grave.. 'hell' or 'she'ol'

Ecclesiastes 9:10
All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She´ol, the place to which you are going.

the bible says that when we die we are conscience of nothing.... which means we could not have anything after life. after life.. we are DEAD.

The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5)

the bible says that from dust we are made.. and to dust we will return.. does dust think? or float to heaven and rule with god??

"As the [beast] dies, so the [man] dies; and they all have but one spirit . . . All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust." (Ecclesiastes 3:19, 20)

did you know jesus talked about death like sleep or rest??

John 11:11-14
11 He said these things, and after this he said to them: “Laz´a·rus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.” 12 Therefore the disciples said to him: “Lord, if he has gone to rest, he will get well.” 13 Jesus had spoken, however, about his death. But they imagined he was speaking about taking rest in sleep. 14 At that time, therefore, Jesus said to them outspokenly: “Laz´a·rus has died

Jesus spoke of a time when "all those in the memorial tombs" would "come out" to renewed life on a paradise earth.—John 5:28, 29; Luke 23:43.

think about it.. look deeply into the scriptues and even with your own copy of the bible.. i hope this helps you. if you have more questions feel free to email me anytime.

When you die, you will go to either heaven or hell. Whether or not you accepted Jesus Christ into your life, will determine this.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Heaven will be the most beautiful place you can ever imagine.
Revelation 21:4
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

Hell: Luke 13:28
"There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.

I encourage you to read your Bible and learn everything you can! I hope this helped you. Remember: What the Bible says is the ABSOLUTE truth. It is not just a bunch of symbolism. There WILL fire in hell. Heaven will be beautiful. Please don't listen to the people who believe that the Bible is just a story. Just because people don't believe something is there doesn't mean it isn't there. I pray that you will understand this. The people who say there is nothing in the Bible about heaven or hell in the Bible obviously have not read the Bible. Please read it! You will probably have some questions. I encourage you to go to a church built on Biblical principles that you will read about in the Bible.

When a person dies, they fall asleep until they are all judged. People who believe that Jesus was the Christ and that he died on the cross for our sins, and who repent their sins, will go to Heaven. This is a place where God watches over all, the angels help, and you live in a huge and perfect mansion that Jesus built for you, with a perfect, wonderful and good life, better than the happiest time on Earth, for ever and ever, it will never stop. And you will never grow bored. Everything there is new, and you've got eternity to live with Jesus. Those that rejected Christ and sinned with happiness however, will go to Hell. Roaring will fill their ears, demons will leer out and torment and fight, and no one will be able to see for the choking black smoke. There is no doubt here that Jesus is Lord, it is even implied that these people can see Heaven, but God will not let them out for it is too late, and the burning of this fire will rage in these massive chambers, for ever and ever. On Earth we understand the concept of an End to all things, but in Hell there is no end. People burn day and night, knowing that this torture will NEVER stop. Time will go on, millions, billions, trillions and eons of years will drag by slowly, and you will feel pain, sadness, and mockery beyond that in Heaven. The other people there may also attack each other. Early sources also say that Hell gets colder and darker the further in you go, so eventually you could be frozen into ice. The only way to avoid this is to accept Christ today, and he promised that you WILL be saved, even if you were worse a sinner than the most evil person ever to walk the Earth. This is what Jesus told us on Heaven and Hell.

Heaven and Hell are both within man!
Man has been given free will to pick and choose!

Like the AD has suggested: Whats in your wallet?
What have you bought into, Heaven or hell?

If the human ego, dies before death, then there is no Heaven or Hell!
That is when a human can be called a "True Human Being" or a "Very Good Child".

The Bible doesn't give us a lot of details about either Heaven or hell. It clearly states that both places exist, and who will get to be in those places. We know that access to heaven is instantaneous when a believer dies. We know that unbelievers will go to a place called Hades until they are judged, at the end of the ages, and then they will be thrown into hell. Most of the descriptions of heaven and hell are done in symbolic language so it is difficult to know for sure just what either is like. It is clear that heaven is a place that is wonderful and hell is a place where there is torment. To describe it beyond that is difficult. Fire in the Bible is a symbol of judgment, so it is used to describe hell, but whether or not there is actual fire there is debateable.

Lol! I'm sorry but the second answer was just so damn funny I have to mention it;

"Never depend on others to think for you. Read the Bible yourself and find out first hand."

Little bit of a contradiction methinks? =)

Anyway to answer your question, when you die, you stay dead. You have no consciousness and can feel no more external stimulus, which is why it's impossible to imagine. Your "soft parts" slowly rot until there's nothing but bones and a few other bits left, and eventually even they decompose into dust.

You simply cease to exist.

Some people find this fact hard to grasp though so they like to believe in some form of afterlife, whether it be heaven, hell or numerous other places (depending on the religious belief of the person).

rico3151 "Never depend on others to think for you. Read the Bible yourself and find out first hand."

That is rich. The Bible is afterall, nothing more than the claims of people from thousands of years ago.

All evidence points to death being the final and permanent end of life. No-one likes it, but pretending otherwise doesn't change reality.

Ever see the symbolic movie, the Wizard of Oz?

The Bible is symbolically kind of like that.

Heaven is Oz

and

Hell is the Castle (dungeon) of the Wicked Witch.

the bible doesn't explain what it's like it describes heaven as a "better place" and hell a "horrible place" and they leave it as that me personnally I believe that I will be reincarnated into something else depending on my life I live now.
