How did the virgin Mary give birth? Did Santa Clause or the tooth fairy help out?Most importantly, why since that time, has there never, ever been a story of it happening again?Please read over your response out loud so it doesn't seem as crazy when I read it.

The word virgin is no longer used as it once was. It used to mean someone who was innocent and pure. It wasn't meant to mean never having sexual intercourse. That is today's meaning.

Mary conceived Jesus without having relations with a man because she was giving birth to the Son of God. if she would have had relations with a man that had sinned Jesus wouldn't have been as pure. Jesus needed that person to be like Mary. pure, holy, clean, and without sin. thats why Mary "had relations with the Holy Spirit". The Holy Spirit didnt acctually have relations with Mary but he was the one who put Jesus in Marys womb without a human man's help.

If she would have told anyone that she had sex before marriage, at that time, she could have been legally stoned to death.
