As long as you are sober and there is no alcohol or empty containers in the vehicle you will not get into trouble. However, depending upon the police officer and your friend's level of intoxication, he/she may be arrested for Minor Consuming which is a misdemeanor in my neck of the woods.

I think some of Europe's more liberal countries have the right idea. Alcohol is introduced at a young age, so children grow up with it in their lives and don't take it overboard like teens here in the US. I think the drinking age should be lowered to 18, or the drafting age should be raised to 21 (not like this has ever become an issue, really). If the cops come to your house, nothing will happen. If someone complained about noise or whatever, your parents will get a slap on the wrist.

no, never worry about the law when helping an intoxicated person home, minor or not!

just worry if they throw up in your car.

my boyfriends brother was driving two mates home, they were drunk as a skunk, the only thing was, he only had an auto license and the car was manual, illegal? yes! and the cops pulled him over, he explained what was happening, and they, gave him pointers on how to not strip the gears.

basically he was doing wrong while doing right and the police knew this, understand not all cops are out there to bust you, most want to make sure your safe and thats all.

well done for caring for your friends and staying sober.

You shouldn't get in trouble. I mean were you there when he was getting drunk or were you called to pick them up? I mean if you get caught by the cops they are going to question you about where the alcohol...and I'm sure it would be in your best interest to give them honest answers. But other than turning in other people you shouldn't get in any trouble.

No, you cannot get into trouble. BUT keep in mind if you are stopped and this person IS drunk he/she CAN be placed into protective custody. This comes down to his her parents will be notified and they will have to come pick him her up. This is the simple answer. MORE can happen but it comes down to the circumstances behind the whole picture here.

No, you won't. If you were pulled over, the police would commend you for your sobriety and responsibility in transporting the impaired one.

Are you stupid? If you are sober why aren't you driving? Why would you knowingly get in the car of someone who is drunk? Do you have a deathwish?

You can, especially if you provided the alcohol or took him somewhere to get it.
