You can't, never mind what some fundamentalists say. All we can do is pray for guidance and for the Holy Spirit to lead us, then step out in faith with a clean heart.

If the bible is true and prophesy is real, then the future must be fixed like the past and any decision you make was decided long ago by God.
That should take the pressure off.
On the other hand, I believe that your future is wide open and belongs completely to you. You are in a position to craft your way in life and make good moral decisions that will make the world around you, and the future a better place for your fellow man.
Think about what will help the most people, including yourself in the long run, that is the right decision.

You don't know all you can do is make good decisions , utilize wise counsel,
and do what is right for you and ultimately do what you know is morally right
because sometimes what may be right for you may not necessarily be morally right for you. You need to also stay in tune to God in all areas be it
dreams, visions , a prophetic word ,a scripture, music (Don't limit god to the gospel/christian genres), and even audibly (believe me when I tell you it may scare the hell out of you) Stay open to God in all areas. Also utlize you're God given intellect and goodsense. If someone is abusive or treating you terribly don't wait for them to change . Don't try to change them this is Gods way of telling you leave them alone, but in alot of cases women more frequently then men stay and the situation gets progressively worse then we
blame God for our poor decision.Take the time to get to know people without sex being involed to find out if really need to deal with them on a longterm basis.30 years down the line neither of you will probably look as good as you once did especially the woman after 2 or 3 kids. The freindship is what will continue to hold the relationship together because forever is a long time.

God would never lead you into doing anything that is against His purposes and against His Will for your life.
However He will allow you free will and free choice.
The key is to ask prayerfully to be led in the right direction - and if the answers come, and they're not to your liking - then you have a decision to make - whether to obey God or to follow your own will and direction.
That is a fork in the road. If you follow what you discern to be His will - certain things will follow. If you follow what is your will - then certain other things will follow.
Rest assured God will be with you every step of the way, regardless of what you decide.
I believe "the enemy" rests within each one of us - when we decide that regardless of what we know God wants for us to do with our lives, we choose to do what we want instead - even if we know that it is contrary to God's expectations of how we should live.
And if we do that, natural consequences will follow, just as surely as the night will follow the day.
Peace & Love,

These often become very difficult to sift out. God's ways look "beautiful" yet so do the devil's, because he's deceptive.
People can tell you to go by what feels right, and what whould Jesus do, and all these other things that are important, but You're not going to be able to judge that accurately if you don't spend time in prayer, trusting God. It's a process. Big things like college probebly won't come to you immediately.
I can't give you specific advise on College or Relationships, but God sure can.

When you have been saved by God's grace, through Jesus you will know when the Enemy tries to get hold of you. God's Word and the Holy Spirit will tell you that. I can testify about that. Just pray and ask God for direction in your life. If you obey God's rule and love Him, He will use you for the good whatever career path you choose.

There are two keys for knowing God's will for a given situation (1) Make sure what you are asking for or considering doing is not something the Bible forbids. (2) Make sure what you are asking for or are considering doing will glorify God and help you grow spiritually. If these two things are true and God still is not giving you what you are asking – then it is likely not God’s will for you to have what you are asking for. Or, perhaps you just need to wait a while longer for it. Knowing God’s will is sometimes difficult. People want God to basically tell them what to do – where to work, where to live, who to marry, etc. Romans 12:2 tells us, "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will."
God rarely gives people that direct and specific of information. God allows us to make choices regarding those things. The only decision God does not want us to make is the decision to sin or resist His will. God wants us to make choices that are in agreement with His will. So, how do you know what God’s will is for you? If you are walking closely with the Lord and truly desiring His will for your life – God will place His desires on your heart. The key is wanting God’s will, not your own. “Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4). If the Bible does not speak against it, and it can genuinely benefit you spiritually - then the Bible gives you the "permission" to make decisions and to follow your heart.

Decisions are hard. You want to do Gods will for your life. 1. Get Godly council form Godly people. 2. take what you know from the word of God. 3. apply 1 and 2 and go out on faith and make a decision. God is bigger than your decisions and will keep you in His will if you are following Him.

Ask God to lead you and to keep any "enemy" away. Then trust him to do that, like John M said and step out in faith.
