Additional Details: Read: "For Instance"

Quoting the Original response: "For Instance "I see that you mentioned mountain biking ...........".

"For instance" means

"as an example, by way of illustration, to cite an instance"
http://www.yourdictionary.com/instance

Let me know if that helps.

Be original. Don't say what most everyone says in their first message, such as "I came across your profile on .... (dating site) and I think we have a lot in common". This kinds of approach sends a message that you are boring and don't know what to say. Instead, find something that you have in common, and mention that. For instance, "I see that you mentioned mountain biking as one of your interests. How about going for a bike ride this Sunday? The weather should be great." This kind of message invites her to do something that she enjoys, excites her and interests her. You have a better chance getting a date, because you are offering her something that she likes to do anyway and makes it easy to be with you because you share common interests and get together to actually do something you both enjoy as well as eliminates the uncomfortable feeling of a blind date. If you like her photos, mention that. If she is pretty, she already knows that, so just acknowledge that without being too long-winded.

I met my significant other on-line. What impressed me most was the fact that he had no misspelled words and his e-mail was completely gramatically correct. He also was not rude or crude. He made no suggestive remarks and presented himself as an intelligent man, giving his work history and what he had done with his life--retired Navy, retired aerospace instructor, etc. It was a very informative, well-written e-mail and I fell in love with him long before I met him!

Good luck.
