if you told me to worship god, and i said i don't believe in god, and you killed me for that, would that be considered murder? many people, mostly christians, in my last question seemed to think i didn't understand the difference between murder and killing as a form of punishment.

Don't some Islamic commentators say that apostates (those people who stop being a moslem) should be killed? That wouldn't be murder for them.

It would be a murder. God does not give us permission to kill people who do not believe in God.However, you need to remember that God is ruler over death and life. His laws do not apply to Him. He takes a life and gives a life.

Consider this life a gift, even if you do not want to be with God after this life. God will do what He says He will do. You might not like it but that is the way it is.

Are you speaking of it from a moral or legal standpoint? In many societies, it would be legal to execute you for not believing in the majority religion. But it would never be moral.
