It's time for them to accept that god doesn't exist. So if thats "taking a closer look" then yes it is.

Jesus walked and preached on earth 2000 years ago. Some 400 years after the fact, a group of Catholic bishops met at the council of Nicea to determine which books of the Old and New Testaments were to be included in the Bible as we know it today, and which were to be rejected.
Out of all of the accounts of Jesus life, ministry, crucifixion and resurrection, four accounts were chosen. They are the canonical gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. And they represent the foundation of the faith of the Catholic church as we know it today.
Other books were rejected. What did/do they contain? Some have been found at Nag Hammadi in the 1940's. They were written by Gnostics and Cathars, many of whom were accused of heresy (the greek tranlation of which means only: "a different point of view") and burned at the stake or were painfully tortured before being killed during the Holy Roman Inquisitions.
These gospel accounts contain glimpses of other points of view - among which include the idea that Jesus might have been married and had children, that Judas might not have been a traitor but the most faithful of His followers - carrying out a plan that lead not to the betrayal of Jesus but to the guarantee that He would be crucified, thus fulfilling that part of His mission and God's prophecy.
It is a time when we must all keep an open mind to the possibility that there may be more to this story than meets the eye. Because in finding out the truth - the whole truth - we might even eventually come to see Christianity and our Lord and Saviour in a very different light. And maybe even in a better light than what we do now.
The truth - God's truth - will eventually be revealed in its entirety. Revelation - the lifting of the veil - assures us that the time will come in His own time - not ours. Until then we must remain faithful to what WE believe Christianity and the Word of God to be.
Peace & Love,

Why would the Bible be played around with? The Bible has been protected by God, the creator of the Heaven and the Earth and Satan, the father of lies would want you to help spread that. God is so large, but you can't even grasp it. Its time time for you to take a closer look at God and Eternity. No man can mess with God's Word.

Read the King James Version that is not copyrighted and the Bible that is not bound. Fifty years ago this was virtually the Bible that Americans read. Satan has written a few himself, because no one knows the Bible better than Satan.
Apostle Paul knew what he was saying when he preached if any man preach a gospel any different than what I preach let him be accursed.
It is time for Christians to return to their God and repent of their straying into the world.

Just read the King James Bible. It was written from the right old text and besides that my Father has promised to preserve HIs Word in the Bible.
Luke 21;33: Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
It is time for mankind to stop and quit listening to "The Crowd" and read fro instance St. John and Romans in the Bible and do it with an open heart.

First of all, God is not a man and never was. Secondly, the Bible has never been "played around with."
If you're so concerned that people are being taught wrongly, why not visit a church or Sunday school, find out for yourself and offer suggestions? ;-)
My guess is that you've never studied God's Word and actually don't have a clue, therefore, your opinion is moot.
God bless!

actually ... i wont admit that the bible has been 'played' around with... i think that people play around with the meaning of the sciprtues.. but not the scriptures themselves... they're just translations.... if the word pollo in spanish is translated in english as... bird meat.. i would not think it was wrong because it means chicken. different bibles have different wording because of the translation. gods meanings through the bible are still the same.

Possibility: God gave the knowledge contained in the bible to man.
Fact: Man transcribed the bible.
Fact: Man has revised, edited, added and removed parts of the bible for his own purposes.

You sound islamic to me. Your argument is the argument that islamic people always give. So they can say that Quran is 'the latest edition' or 'the corrected vesion' of Bible.
Thruth is of course that all books are played around with. Anyone can claim to have a new version; people who believe in Bahai believe that the latest word has been said in Iran in the 19th century. All books are played around with.

we dont consider God a man first of all. As far as the bible goes, whether some think its right or wrong is all part of a little thing called "having faith"
