I am Grateful for our United States Marines. I am grateful for our Army, Air Force and Navy, to our Coast Guards and Our U.S. Reserves who are always willing to protect this Great Country.
I am Grateful to our Families who are sharing with our country and support their loved one who serves.
I am Grateful for the United States of America.

I've been in the Air Force for 17 years (11 years active and 6 years Reserve) and we LOVE The Marines! No military outfit looks better or more precise than Marines in their dress blues marching in parades, no one has a better attitude about overcoming adversity, getting the job done, and making the best of the situation than a Marine, and all the stories they tell about Marines getting drunk and starting fights or tearing up bars are largely untrue (that's the Army). Can't tell you how many times we've been at the club and a group of Marines will come up and say "Hey, mind if we join you?" and we have NEVER had a problem with Marines cutting up or mixing it up. Marines are great people and I have a lot of respect for them because their job is a lot tougher than mine, but they do it every day and do it well without complaint. Hail to the high-and-tight crowd!

While I agree that the marines have indeed made a difference, I think that many have made a difference in the lives of others and that the marines do not have a lock on it.

Sounds like a Ronald Reagan quote. While I was never a Marine, I spent the most of my adult life proudly serving the Corps.. No doubt in my mind if I made a difference.

As a retired soldier, I both respect and admire the Marine Corps, as I do all our men and women in uniform and I salute each and every one of them for the sacrifices they have made. May God bless them.

Are you saying that 1 marine makes a difference? Soldiers are only efficient in high digits. Like 100.000 or so. So 1 soldier doesn`t really make a difference at all. Soldiers are nothing but canonfodder actually.

They might be one of the hightest trained forces in the world, but they are still take orders from a moron. A majority of these 'idividuals' are high school drop outs, with the armed forces as there only option. And lets face it anyone, marine or otherwise, who takes a life makes one hell of a difference. Another thing, the marines are not as you say 'individuals', they are a highly trained unit or team. One marine in a war zone is nigh on useless. He might be brave, he might even be the best, but by himself he is lost.
