Wow.. People getting offended by wearing the torture device used to kill their god. These are the same people wearing the cross right now. How funny.. Hotmomma, you have to be the dumbest person I have seen on here so far, please read the question. Also, I was the first person to post this question on here before, and it was deleted, I didn't get enough answers thats why I posted it again.

lol. or gas chambers! or lethal injection beds.
sarah dear....your religious icon was tortured to death by capital punishment....and you sickos wear the torture device on your neck like a badge of honor...with no thought to how demented that is.....isn't that weird to you?
why do you say this is not a serious question? just because you don't like to think about wearing capital punishment on your neck?

First time I heard this question was on MTV during an interview with Siouxsie Sioux . I cracked up...
Now to question that big eared crazy guy up there... if Jesus would have died by lethal injection as you propose, would you wear a little Jesus with needles sticking out of his arm?
Don't you think if Jesus came back he would be a little disturbed by all these people wearing engraved images of him nailed to a cross around their necks? It's kind of sick and twisted in a way don't ya think?

Jesus died on a wooden cross, but the cross did not keep Him in the grave. HE IS ALIVE! The cross is not a symbol of His death, it is a symbol of His VICTORY over death and the grave. Some Christians, not all, sometimes wear a cross because Jesus wore one for them.
By the way....He wore one for you too.
I am not offended in the least. You have the right to ask anything you want. I am amazed though, not at your question, but at how quickly you launched into your insults of some of your answerers. I suggest that you try defending your ideas intelligently instead of immediately attacking the people who have differing opinions from yours.

It was more clever the first 15 or 16 times this was posted: http://answers.yahoo.com/search/search_result;_ylt=AtdwSZMwiKC676YxVO2WdLLd7BR.;_ylv=3?p=christians+electric+chairs.
The cross is a uniquely psychologically powerful symbol. See Joseph Campbell or John Sanford's writings on Jungian symbolism for the details.

any way, i have seen this question several times now...i am a christian, and i don´t wear a cross, no, i don´t think i would wear an electric chair, and any way, how do you know "man" would sit Jesus in an electric chair? there are other ways, like the firing squad, i guess thats only military, but still, and lethal injection, i bet there are lots of people wearing needles around their necks...so, with all this in mind...
Just where are you going with this?

Sarcasm against another religion will only cause you grief in the long run especially if you are have chosen the wrong one.
Think about that before you ask a ridiculous question like this again.

No! Because Jesus took the harshest Crucifixion ever. Not some electric chair that kills you in a minute. He took the worst beating any man could think of for us!

what are you tryin to say? that He would have been ELECTRICUTED 20 years ago instead of hung on a cross? The good book says 'Vengence is mine saith the Lord' but i sure hope I see the expression on your face when you finally get judged

Interesting...
You presume that if Jesus came to the world in modern times, he would have come to the US- and that he'd be executed for his teachings.
All kinds of lines of thought can be started by this...
