Because the system of Kings & Queens as the world knows it is like Englands system.. if the King dies, the Queen takes over or for example, if Queen Elizabeth didnt have prince Charles and it was princess Anne only.. then she would be Queen some day.. They take on duties etc of the country.. Well in Saudi in this Islamic system.. its actually not done the same.. they dont sit up there on their golden thrown with a septer and a huge crown on their head like hollywood images portray.. You could equate the arabic kings as actually Chiefs of a huge country wide village.. (my best example)...Its just a title of the ruler of the country.. and as the poster stated above.. Women dont rule in an Islamic society, she is important though and she probably does a lot of charity work for womens groups around the country, but she is not internationally viewed.. They help open womens group activities, orphanages, charities, human aide, womens clinics, etc... We do see the Queens and Princesses come around to these events, but no men are around

Good question indeed !!!
Below, please find Muslim Queens who ruled in an Islamic State.
1. Queen Turkan Khatun of Iran. Long 26 years from 1257 to 1282 AD. Khutba in the mosque.
2. Daughter of the above, Padishah Khatun.
3. Absh Khatun of Shiraz area of Iran. Long 25 years from 1263 to 1287.
4. In the area of Luristan in 1339. Name not known. Khutba in her name.
5. Queen Tindu (In Iran?) 1411- 1419 AD.
6,7,8. Queens of Maldives Khadija, Mariam and Fatima. A clean, straight 41 years. Khutba in Khadija's name. Ibne Batuta was the Kazi there for some time.
9,10. Two incredibly successful queens Asma and Arwoa of 'Sulaihi' dynasty in Yemen. For how long did they ruled? Not much, only for half a century. And "They made more mosques, roads, buildings minars, etc., than total made by all the male kings from 1592 to 1925". Shabbash!.
Khutba in Asma's name.
If in the old times where laws, cultures, religion, books, etc are the basis of strict compliance of the society -Queens are titled to a woman - then in the modern times (which people should be more progressive in thinking and reasoning) why there is none?
Good question indeed !!!

The Queen in Saudi Arabia has always been active in social causes rather than political ones.
This can be seen by the colleges and schools that were built by those queens and are run by Social Institutions they built.
Effat College, Dar Alhannan, etc.
Edit:
I thought the answer was intelligent not the question.

I asked my mom the same question. NO one really know's but we can all think of our own reasons.
I think it's because each Saudi King has a multiple number of wife, and ladies. I think the first wife would have to considered the "Queen", but you can't have a King and Queen. Just like England there is a "Queen" and her huband is refered to as "Prince Phillipe" I guess it has to do with the type od Kingdom...

long tale short each and every usa which incorporate our very own has some tie to a pair terrorist. the clarification we've in no way attacked them is that Saudi has consistently offered us with open suggestions, get entry to in and distant places and easily help us in efforts in the time of the wars. remember the quote, "The enemy of my enemy is my buddy."

King Abdullah has a number of wives, but to discuss them - or women in general - is considered extremely impolite. As men and women are forbidden to mix in Saudi society unless they are married, it would be offensive for the King's wives to be in the public forum in any way. And photographs of them would be absolutely forbidden, as women in Saudi don't have their pictures publically displayed - especially photos with unveiled faces. Hope that helps!
